The Chai Uluwatu Tea House (Vegan & Vegetarian cafe) — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

Absolutely love this place!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Initially we were just going to have dinner around here. Then we passed by this store so we decided to come here after we had our dinner. Best decision ever! In love with the ambiance, HUGE selections of teas and the staff was quite knowledgeable and patient with our questions. We had one of their green teas and one pot was enough for two since they provide refills. Wish we learned our server's name because he was very attentive.

If you ever come across this place or just want to have some exceptional teas, this is definitely the place to be. Would definitely suggest this place for a business meeting as well since they have space for carparks.

Though if I could throw in a suggestion it would be the dessert options. They do serve desserts like baklava and some Georgian dessert (I forgot what it's called). It would be awesome if you could provide something on the lighter side like a cracker or cookies, they would pair well with teas or just something that would cater local taste as well. Love the place, the special assortment tea, ambiance and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Also the tea ceremony is in detail and makes tea drinking special. The only downside is their seating policy. There are empty tables with ‘reserve’ which I understand that they don’t want a 1 person to sit at a table which have the capacity for 4 or 6 people. But it’s not like they have many tables either.. Just some ideas for the owners: They can make the 6 a shared table and let guests sit and work there. And make the other tables available and when there 3 or 4 people coming, the courtesy that the 1 person moves and makes place. I think this would be a solution than to have the staff constantly having awkward conversations with the customers telling the tables are reserved but they are...

Update 2025: Came here ordering same as last time; harvest bowl change feta to tofu and they brought me tofu scramble (which i did not ask). I told them that if vegan feta was an extra charge then exchange with tofu and they agreed. Half an hour later they brought me the dish without any tofu.

Service very bad, please hire someone that communicates better and talks English, everything would be much better 🙌🏼
