After 2 weeks of great food and exquisite cooking in Canggu I arrived with my husband in Pecatu. We went to Italia and were badly disappointed. It started with the seating. The first table was frozen by the aircon blowing directly on it. The next table indoors was super loud because of some wild hand dish washing for a long time and music trying to cover it. So we moved outdoors which was super loud directly at the street. In the end we landed upstairs at some kinky Chinese tables. Next to it sind boxes full of stuff. The waitress was unfriendly and in bad mood. We waited 30 minutes for the appetizer and in total 60 minutes for our main course.
The pasta of my husband was cold.
I became another pizza than I ordered with an ingredient I very much dislike. The pizza wasn't hot anymore.
We are nearly every weekend in original Italian restaurants in Ticino or in Italy and there is no comparison with the real Italian food to the stuff they serve in the restaurant Italia. We know many Italians and spend many holidays in Italy and cannot understand some comments from people far away from Italy judging the quality of pizza (on Bali). The best pizza and most authentic we have eaten was in "Casa Asia" Bingin (perfect) or in "Milk & Madu", Canggu.
And to the bad did experience we had a grumpy unfriendly waitress. She was unfriendly from the beginning to the end.
I've been for many years in the restaurant business and rarely had such disappointing experience as this one neither in Asia...

🍕 The pizza is incredible — thin crust, perfect bake, high-quality toppings. And what’s even better — you can split one pizza into two flavors, which is a genius option if you’re like me and can’t decide on just one. Big win.
🥩 The prosciutto is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, full of flavor and perfectly sliced. 🍮 Tiramisu comes served in a cup, with a beautiful presentation and a rich, creamy taste — honestly one of the best I’ve had on the island. 🍷 And the house wine (both red and white) is surprisingly good — comes in 0.5L or 1L carafes, and the price is very fair and relaxed.
✨ The ambiance is cozy and thoughtful — warm lighting, good furniture, sturdy cutlery and real cloth napkins (yes, that matters). 🧑🍳 Service is excellent — friendly, fast, and on point. Both of their locations are consistent in quality and care. 🚻 Even the toilets are clean, stocked with toilet paper (always), and well maintained — which, let’s be real, says a lot about the place.
If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a comforting, delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere — this is it. Full 5...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my experience this evening. I had high expectations as the reviews all seemed so great. I was seated by a friendly gentleman. I ordered the vegan spaghetti bolognese, the portion size was great however it wasn’t seasoned. After adding Parmesan, salt and chili oil it tasted loads better. After I finished eating, a female waitress cleared my plate and said nothing. Didn’t offer me the dessert menu or ask how my meal was. I waited 20 minutes to see if anyone would approach me and they didn’t. I asked for the dessert menu and was excited to try the affogato. I was left for 30 minutes and nobody even acknowledged me. The restaurant was practically empty so I’m unsure why the service was so poor. After waiting so long I no longer wanted to order and left. After 2 months in Bali this is the first time I’ve experience such service and the first time I’ve...
