We were extremely happy with our night until we recieved the bill , now we are disgusted. We pre paid for our degustation which was around $500 for 2 people, happy with that. The food was incredible, the view spectacular, the service wonderful. However at the end of the night we paid our drinks bill, it was dark we couldn't see but knowing the going price for a bottle of Moet and Chandon in Bali is generally $200 Australian dollars we were shocked in the car ride back to our accommodation to find we had paid $690 for a few Bintangs and one bottle of Moet and Chandon. Back at the hotel, l messaged the restaurant thinking they charged us a second time for the meal but then upon looking at our recuept realised we were charged $550 Australian dollars for the one bottle of Moet. Absolutely disgusting. I have tried for 8 days now to get someone to contact me but they are ignoring all my attempts to have a responce fir tge rediculous price we were charged. Generally any liquor store in Bali sells the same bottle for between $ 156 and $179 Australian dollars. The W hotel sells Moet and Chandon included in their sunday brunch with unlimited drinks and food for 3 hours for $350 Australian dollars ( hence the two of us could have drank 3 bottles ) The Romantic Bubble hotel in Ubud sells bottles of the same champagne fir $220 a bottle. The bar in Seminyak sold the same bottles for $210. I am absolutely disgusted at restaurant with English owners and chefs think it is appropriate to charge $550 Australian dollars fora bottle of champagne that sells in Australia for $75. A total rip off, that one bottle cost more that the combined degustation dinner for 2 people. The worst part is no one has the respect to answer my complaint and given that level of rudeness, no level of good food or service can compensate for ignorance and greed. Shame...
Read moreWe booked the Samabe Cave Dinner for our honeymoon and my 40th birthday celebration and it completely exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a dream. The setting inside the cave was surreal: candlelit, covered in rose petals, glowing lights above, and the word LOVE welcoming us at the entrance. It was intimate, magical, and unforgettable.
Marisa was our server that night and she was absolutely phenomenal. Her presence added so much warmth to the experience professional, thoughtful, and always one step ahead to make sure every detail was perfect. She made us feel so special and cared for the entire evening.
The food? Every dish was artfully presented and packed with flavor from the appetizers to the desserts. You could taste the love and craftsmanship in every course.
Marisa, thank you for making our night so flawless. You truly created an experience we’ll cherish forever.
