Being in Bali we wanted to taste the food of the locals. First we went to Bali Collection to try the local food,only to find the local food is contemporary to suit Westerners. Then by chance we went out the Rear of the Novotel Nusa Dua and found these quaint little local Restaurants. Yes there is not newly painted walls, the tables don't have white tablecloths, but many locals who ate in there. The husband cooks,and the rest of the family serves the meals. The soups are great,the mains are tasty, and the fruit juices are excellent; and all this for a fraction of the cost of other restaurants. Read moreSmall local warung with many more locals than tourists (we were the only ones for most of our dinner). Agreed with earlier review about wok hei. This was evident in the nasi goreng ayam. We also had the mie goreng ayam, ikan goreng sambal, fried chicken with vegetables in butter sauce, cay kangkung, and 2 bintang to round out the meal. The portions were right sized for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids were fans of the fried rice and fried fish. Hard to beat the value for the tasty meal. The street noise might be a little loud for some, but it is a road side warung, so it is part of the charm 🙂
