Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua Resort — Hotel in Kuta Selatan

Titanium Elite Status, my room was upgraded to an executive suite, free late check-out until 16.00 and free unlimited happy hour drinks every 15.00-16.00. Courtyard itself is one of the brands that does not provide free breakfast as a welcome gift for its elite members, but at Courtyard Nusa Dua we can exchange $10 FNB credit per person for breakfast. I also chose breakfast for 2 people.

The location is at ITDC Nusa Dua. Courtyard Nusa Dua does not have direct access to the beach, but they provide a shuttle and have their own beach area. I checked in at 14.30 but it turned out the room wasn't ready because the previous elite also asked for late checkout. We were given a temporary room, namely a deluxe twin, which we could use to rest. The twin bed is large 140x200. While waiting for our room to be ready, the wife also had a happy hour drink first. The happy hour menu is in the photo, mostly alcoholic, in the end we just ordered mocktails. Very refreshing on a hot afternoon in Bali. For drinks accompanied by a piece of fried dumplings

At 15.15 our room was finally ready, I was taken to our suite. There are 4 parts of the room, namely the living room with sofa and dining table, bedroom, walk-in closet and bathroom. Our room was on the bottom floor, had a terrace with direct access to the swimming pool. In the room there is also a fruit platter and one coconut. Suite rooms are of course large. The living room has a minibar, dining table, work desk and sofa for watching TV. For the walk-in closet there is a cupboard, luggage rack and full mirror. For the bedroom there is a mattress, armchair and TV. Wifi and TV are very fast. Our room was also given mirror art. Tea uses brew me, and coffee is given coffee capsules.

The bathroom has a wash basin, closet, shower and bathtub. The bathtub is large and comfortable to use for soaking. Standard amenities, shampoo and soap using the Nirvae brand. There are also 3 towels each for body towels, hand towels and face towels.

Hotel facilities are Swimming pool, Kids club indoor (bed, playground, children's toys, ball pool, tent) and outdoor (sand and grass play area), Gym. For the Nusa Dua courtyard, you can also use the swimming pool and other Marriott Vacation Club facilities, such as the lazy river, whirlpool and swimming pool. The total swimming pool itself is around 4-5 swimming pools which are very large in size. You could say that Courtyard Nusa Dua is very child-friendly The taste of breakfast is delicious, the variety is also complete. At breakfast there were also lots of squirrels in the trees in the outdoor area of the restaurant. There is also squirrel food provided that we can feed while watching the squirrels go up and down the trees. Menu variants: Salad, coffee, tea, juice (watermelon, papaya, apple, orange), fruit (guava, mangosteen, longan, orange, dragon fruit, papaya, melon, pineapple, watermelon, rambutan, grapes, fruit salad. We recently returned to the Courtyard by Marriott in Nusa Dua for another family stay, and once again, our experience reaffirmed why this resort continues to be our preferred choice. The property consistently delivers a comfortable and well-rounded stay, offering everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.||What the resort does well:||The reception and restaurant staff are consistently attentive, professional, and helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience from the moment of arrival. The resort grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfect for rest and relaxation. Guests have access to two inviting swimming pools, including one featuring a lazy river, which is a particular highlight for families.||The Kids Club and various children’s activities are excellent additions for families traveling with young ones. Rooms are clean, reasonably well maintained, and equipped with most of the essentials required for a comfortable stay. The food and beverage offerings are another standout — with a wide variety of choices, the quality and presentation consistently met expectations.||A particularly convenient amenity is the on-site money changer, which offers competitive rates and added convenience, eliminating the need to venture offsite for currency exchange. The hotel’s central location within the village also provides easy access to local cafés, shops, and attractions.||Areas for improvement:||While our overall experience was positive, there are some areas where improvements would significantly enhance guest satisfaction. Notably, some of the issues raised in a prior review remain unaddressed.||The most significant concern during this stay was the inconsistent poolside service at the back pool area. Although we were advised that service would commence at 10:30 AM, there were many occasions where no staff could be found. In most cases, it was up to us to actively seek out service, often locating just one staff member managing the entire area. As a result, many opportunities for food and beverage sales were likely missed. A potential solution could be the introduction of a buzzer or call-button system to allow guests to request service without leaving their seating area.||Another ongoing issue is the discrepancy in the quality of pool towels offered to hotel guests versus those staying in the residences. This disparity gives the impression of unequal treatment and should be addressed — all guests, regardless of their accommodation type, should receive the same standard of amenities. Additionally, the overall quality of pool towels needs improvement.||Lastly, for a hotel in this price range, we would suggest including an in-room coffee machine and access to streaming services (TV). We particularly enjoyed the provision of the coffee machine during our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Seminyak. The inclusion of streaming services and a coffee machine would certainly elevate the in-room experience.||Final thoughts:||Despite these concerns, we continue to view the Courtyard by Marriott Nusa Dua as a fantastic option for individuals, couples, and families. The overall value, hospitality, and amenities make it a resort we’re happy to recommend — and we look forward to returning again...

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua Resort, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Here are some of the highlights from my experience:

Suite Upgrade

As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I was generously upgraded to a Suite, which was a delightful surprise. The suite was spacious, elegantly designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was exceptional, offering one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a hotel. The bathroom was equally impressive, with luxurious toiletries and a relaxing ambiance that made it perfect for unwinding after a day in the sun.

Resort Environment & Facilities

The resort’s lush greenery and serene landscaping truly create a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The pool area surrounded by palm trees felt like a private oasis, and it was a joy to lounge by the pool and soak in the tropical vibes. The resort also shares facilities with the Marriott Vacation Club Nusa Dua Garden, which adds even more amenities to enjoy, including additional pools and other recreational spaces.

The resort provides access to a private beach area, with a convenient shuttle service for easy transportation. The beach facilities were clean and well-maintained, offering a perfect spot to enjoy the sun and ocean breeze.

Exceptional Dining

The breakfast buffet was an absolute standout, featuring a wide variety of options catering to all tastes. From classic Western breakfast items to Indonesian favourites like Nasi Goreng, everything was freshly prepared and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the local juices and tropical fruits, which added a touch of authenticity to the experience.

Outstanding Service

The staff at Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua were exceptional in every aspect. From the warm welcome upon check-in to the thoughtful gestures throughout my stay, their professionalism and genuine hospitality truly made a difference. Whether it was offering assistance with my luggage, arranging transportation, or simply greeting me with a smile, their attention to detail was impeccable.

Shared Facilities with Marriott Vacation Club

The added benefit of sharing facilities with the Marriott Vacation Club Nusa Dua Garden was a major plus. It expanded the variety of amenities available, from additional pools to gardens, providing more options for relaxation and enjoyment. This collaboration between the two properties made the resort feel even more expansive and accommodating.

Overall Experience

My time at Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua was incredibly relaxing and fulfilling. The combination of luxurious accommodations, world-class service, and the tranquil environment made it a perfect getaway. The property offers excellent value for money, especially for Marriott Bonvoy members who can enjoy the added perks.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Bali, whether you’re travelling for leisure, a romantic holiday, or simply to unwind. With its exceptional facilities, outstanding service, and serene atmosphere, Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua Resort is a place I would happily return to.
