Bali is a small world on its own. You have natural wonders, popular beaches, waterfalls, mountains, art, nightlife...and a lot of coffee places. Being Italian, I’m a little picky on coffee, and whenever I’m traveling, I try to find special places where to go back once and then again the next time I’ll be in town. One of these places is the Benih Café, just around the corner of the crowded Legian Street. You can have a coffee, cappuccino, latte, drink, juice, eat something and enjoy the young and relaxing atmosphere of this place. It’s airy and you won’t feel trapped: music is the right volume, and it’s not noisy at all. The staff is friendly and able to explain you whatever information you need on the menú and they are quick when it comes to serve you your order while they bring you a pop up hand towel to refresh yourself. They also make some nice art on cappuccinos which is a plus when it comes to Instagram. Food also is good and fresh, they took their care to make it look beautiful as well. They have enough choices for you to enjoy your time here. Count with free WiFi as well and the certainty that you will come back to the Benih...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with high expectations, influenced by the glowing reviews and enticing photos. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite.
I ordered the tataki salad bowl, which was served in a very small bowl, making it difficult to mix the ingredients properly. The Japanese sushi rice was excessively sour, and the tataki was overcooked, lacking the delicate sear one would expect. The sauce was the most disappointing aspect—it tasted salty and starchy, reminiscent of a store-bought product rather than something homemade.
When I inquired about the sauce, the staff assured me it was made in-house. While they were kind and patient in addressing my concerns, they firmly insisted on the sauce’s authenticity, which did not align with its taste and texture.
Overall, the staff’s courteousness was appreciated, but the meal did not meet my expectations. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively to improve...
Read moreBenih Café followed us on Instagram the day we arrived to Bali. Kudos to their social media / digital marketing team because their level of alertness to potential customers nearby is top notch. This is how we discovered the place which was few steps from our hotel Four Point Sheraton Kuta.
We finally gave in and went for breakfast 2 days later. Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. The presentation was too beautiful to not stop my husband from eating before I had enough photos of each of the dishes.
A special mention to Tari who served us breakfast with all smiles on the 2 days we went for breakfast. You're a star!
Lunch was equally good as well. We had lunch once here. My husband had the Pasta Carbonara and I had the Ayam Bakar. Both were delicious. I forgot the names of the girls and boy that were at service that day. But they were equally amazing.
All in all, a must visit during your Kuta, Bali stay.
Thank you team...
