Gracie Kelly's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Kuta

Last night, I walked in, ordered a pint and some food with friends. Normally, I wouldn’t share this, but I have to tell you!!

This is not about food. The food and drink were nice, though you need to be patient. I want to say the service was great to us, but I saw some staff members treating the musicians poorly.

Last Friday night, one of the staff shouted at a member of the band. I don't know why, and I didn't have a chance to speak to either the musician or the person who shouted, but it was clear they were arguing about the sound, as they kept pointing to the sound monitor. As a musician myself, I know how hard it is to get the sound right in this acoustic room. It can sound great to some and terrible to others who don’t understand music. Last week was top-notch!

We came early last Friday, excited to see the band as we've been following them for a couple of weeks now while we're in Bali. But seeing them mistreated by the staff, especially being shouted at (yes, loudly, as I could hear it even with the background music playing), was disappointing.

The staff member was very rude. I don’t care if they have a personal issue with the musician, but shouting at the musicians in front of customers?? What were you thinking?!!! You work there, you should keep it professional. These musicians are good. I’m sorry if I side with them, but as a musician myself, they deserve better treatment. Not to be shouted at!!! Luckily, the musician stayed calm (I guess), but if I were him, we wouldn’t be coming back.

I don’t know the band personally, but where we come from, they deserve better treatment!

I’m disappointed because the shouting happened in front of us as customers. Where is your manner??!

I hope the owner or someone responsible will see this.

British owned Irish pub by 2 English guys..... They have a small person Balinese of course on the door dressed in green whom I guess is supposed to be a leprechaun. He welcomes you in irish and to be honest was lovely and very helpful and informed me where to watch the Celtic game.. They initially told me they had the game on via whats app but didn't.. Me and my partner went back the following night and had a few over priced drink, acceptable for an Irish bar abroad, but come 1 hour before closing time we were asked when we were leaving and we were absolutely disgusted.. The decor is nice & the music was good.. but to be pushed out the door by the manager 1 hour before closing wasn't acceptable. Ps the response from one of the owners is far from acceptable as he never apologised to us publicly for how we were treated on the night... ( we, did not enjoy the experience or atmosphere at all, I was being honest inregards to the decor and band.... So dont be fooled by the owners response.... no apology...

If you are asian, never never never never come here. You will regret coming here, and ruin your journey in bali. I promise you. I don't understand if there is still the place like this. I will tell you guys what I experienced in this place. I don't usually write this kind of review, but I should write down this review. There was a quiz show starting from 7:30 pm and they did't give us paper. so we couldn't participated in the quiz. We asked the staff why they didn't give us paper but.... the white family(more than two groups) who came here later than us got the paper and participated in the quiz. We definitely saw it. Staff and the owner of this pub didn't give us any kind of attention and did't ask any question if We want to participated in this quiz. The experience I got in this place was totally awful, and I hope this place should shut down to prevent from visitors gettimg...
