The best real Indonesian food court west of the river.
Come here for tasty and authentic Indonesian food. Prices are “local” too, and the fact it is popular with Indonesians means you are on a winner here!
Ordered “sangat peeeeeeeedas” (very hot) but… it was typically Balinese mild, by Indonesian standards. Probably rather hot by western standards. They use the cheaper large smooth red chillies - you can see the ground skins as evidence.
Post Covid several stands are still closed but there’s already sufficient variety. Lots of car and bike parking.
You are sheltered from the elements too.
There are no specifically vegan restaurants.
I did not notice toilets but I also didn’t ask so I won’t dock a star for that.
Tourists are welcome here and the menus of all the restaurants are in English or accompanied by photos to make the selection bleeding obvious.
Annie’s Kitchen, one of the restaurants, doesn’t have its own Google Maps entry so I’ll give a shout out here as it’s also one of the places I ate at. No trouble to ask for extra freshly pounded/made...
Read moreLast night I was eating in warung sister. And today I come here again. So amazing food that they offers. I love placing kangkung so much. The menu is very varied. They offer Local Food especially Java foods. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place was hygiene and clean. They have a good atmosphere, with white nuance. The Prices are affordable and worth it! I I really love it !! The food : taste good , freshh and good portion. I ordered Chicken satay and it tasted so juicy, not dry and super sambal! There is big parking lot. They have toilet and wastafel. Really packed during dinner hour but also the best time to enjoy your food with family or friends, the ambiance is also pretty nice. Officially will be back here 😊.
Overall: 9/10 Food Taste: 9/10 Price: 9/10 Toilet: 8/10 Services: 9/10 Ambiance:...
Read moreLegian Food Market is often talked about as a must-visit spot in Bali, but in my experience, it felt a bit overhyped. When I visited, I expected a bustling atmosphere with a wide variety of food options, but that wasn’t the case. Despite it being a busy day, the market itself was not very crowded, and the selection of food stalls seemed limited.
The location is a bit tucked away, so I had to take a Grab bike to reach it. However, the effort wasn’t wasted. While the market as a whole didn’t meet my expectations, the food I tried from one of the stalls was delicious and didn’t disappoint.
Overall, Legisn Food Market has its charm with multiple stalls offering different dishes. It’s not a bad place by any means, but it might not live up to the hype...
