Sinaloa Bali — Restaurant in Kuta

Hard to reveiw this place. Food was great but came out luke warm. We excused that as it was great anyway. We tried to order wine which they said they had when we asked for a table. Sorry, we dont have wine yet.....hmmmm. They warned us the meals would take about 30 mins. We said ok but maybe you can give us complimentary corn chips to keep us going. The managers response said "oh dont worry we are already doing that for you" 15 seconds later they arrived. Great we thought until the bill arrived and they tried to charge $5. Dont gey me wrong, i wouldn't normally even notice but it was the way the manager read out the bill that i thought i should check it. He then tried to justify it by saying well yes i bought them out but didnt you eat them? Huh? Did i hear that right? He wouldn't budge so on principle i didnt pay that part of the bill and didnt leave a tip. There were 4 if us so normally would have left a $20 tip but thought on principle forget it.

Ambience & Comfort 5* - Great ambience – increased by the beautiful architecture and live music Mon-Wed-Fri. Location 5* - Really good location, the road is fairly quiet with traffic so it isn’t disruptive. Service 3* - Our first visit our waiter was soooo friendly and lovely (5). Second visit we had a different waiter that was unpleasant and unfriendly (2). This really ruined our second experience. We're returning with friends later this week and really hope we don't have the rude waiter again. Food Quality 5* - Fantastic. We love Cuba and this place does Cuban-Mex food very well. The menu is small and quite limited however. Value for money 4* - It’s a little spenny but the quality is worth it. When you think of ‘Mexican’ food, you often think ‘drunk food’. This is not the case here, the food, the service and atmosphere are incredible. You must try all the tacos if possible - each one has an array of flavours combined to a tasty few bites, however 4 tacos is a heart meal so choose wisely.

The staff make you feel like a superstar and you can want for nothing.

The breakfast menu is fresh and can either be light or heavy, depending on your meal. I like a big breakfast so opted for the Chorizo meal and I’ve never seen my partner try to steal my meal so quickly. “Best toasty ever” as she was inhaling my meal.

The toilets are unisex with very strong Vicks smell, cleansing the sinuses.

Depending on the night you can be expected to do a ‘free pour lay-back’.
