Fresco Cafe Bali — Restaurant in Kuta

We had an unpleasant experience. Attracted by the looks but let down by the silly rules and the lacking-compassion staff.

We left Padma resort where we stayed to go and enjoy their fruit bowl as well as the eggs Benedict.

Since we arrived 12:15 pm they denied our order because they said they serve lunch since 12 noon onwards.

The place was empty, they could have served what we wanted in the spirit of making a guest happy but they didn’t and what bewildered me is the absolute lack of compassion, never seen that in Bali which I visit once a month (check my other reviews).

We complied having no choice but a bit sad because this is not what Bali and Balinese people are known for ...

Other than this minor concern we did not enjoy our cappuccino because of the coffee bitterness, the avocado salad bowl was good and the Caesar salad was indifferent.

The prices on the menu are NET and that’s commendable!!!

The place looks beautiful, we liked the interior design and the music choices were very good too.

Don’t mind our experience, go on and give it a chance if you find yourself...

I really wanted to like this place, as I have diet restrictions even came to it three times. On my last visit I ordered gluten free Bacon and egg roll from the menu, with the description of chutney and aioli dressing with hash browns. (doesn’t matter what you order the bacon is never crispy.) I received an egg sandwich drenched in mayo and basic bagged French fries instead of hash browns. I tried to eat it, even by scrapping the mayo off, but I really don’t like mayo and lost my appetite. The service is very kind but if you have to order something gluten free, it’s not just the bun it’s the entire description. If I would have been told the dressing would have to change to mayo, and the hashbrowns to French fries I wouldn’t have ordered what I did. It’s a good place for coffee, and if you don’t have diet restrictions I am sure...

Nous sommes arrivés à 18h45, avons commandé à 18h56 (nous avons pris une photo juste après la commande avec l’heure précise), 19h40, toujours rien sachant que les deux tables autours de nous qui étaient arrivées après ont été servies (la cliente d’à côté avec qui nous avons discuté a même demandé à la serveuse pourquoi ils avaient eu leur commande avant nous). A 19h45, la serveuse vient nous voir pour nous dire que nos plats arriveraient d’ici 10 min. 20h, toujours rien !! 😡 On se lève, en disant qu’on s’en allait, la serveuse nous demande de rester. Mon compagnon demande un geste commercial, la serveuse nous demande de rester, que les plats étaient déjà lancés et que nous paieront que nos boissons. On se dit que le geste était correct, on paie nos boissons et on se rassoit. Au final, 5 minutes après, elle revient nous dire que nos plats ont étés annulés. Grosse déception sachant que nous venions à cette adresse pour la partager à notre communauté YouTube. Bref, TOUT ÇA POUR DIRE, adresse à éviter sauf si vous voulez perdre votre temps . . . .

Very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. we arrived at 6.45pm, ordered at 6.56pm (we took a picture right after ordering with the exact time). at 7:40 p.m., still not knowing that the two tables around us who had arrived after had been served (the customer next door with whom we spoke even asked the waitress why they had had their order before us). At 7:45 p.m., the waitress comes to see us to tell us that our dishes will arrive within 10 minutes. 8 p.m., still nothing!! 😡 We get up, saying we were leaving, the waitress asks us to stay. my companion asks for a commercial gesture, the waitress asks us to stay, that the dishes were already launched and that we will only pay for our drinks. We tell ourselves that the gesture was correct, we pay for our drinks and we sit down. in the end, 5 minutes later, she comes back to tell us that our dishes have been cancelled. Big disappointment knowing that we came to this address to share it with our YouTube community. In short, ALL THAT TO SAY, address to avoid unless you want to...
