Service: The service is average. Orders and payments are made at the cashier before being seated (they assign a table number after payment). They accept all payment methods, which is convenient.
Cleanliness: Pink Tempong has made many improvements, including more tables to accommodate more customers, a designated cashier area, and additional staff. They also now have a dedicated handwashing area, which is great since most people eat with their hands here. The restaurant is clean and spacious, and I was happy to see the upgraded space. However, they only offer indoor dining, and there’s no air conditioning—just plenty of fans.
Food: I waited less than 25 minutes for my meal, but the wait time depends on the crowd. When it’s busy, the wait is longer, but the cashier usually informs customers about the estimated waiting time. The food was hot and fresh, the sambal was spicy and flavorful, and the side dishes, such as Sour Vegetable Soup, Steamed Vegetables, and Salted Fish, were also served fresh and hot.
Overall: Pink Tempong is the most famous Tempong brand in Bali. They serve a variety of side dishes with their signature spicy sambal. Personally, I prefer this one over other Tempong brands. It’s worth trying at least once when you visit Bali—support...
Read moreWe came here on our way back home in December and we were so pleased. The service was good, the staff here were very friendly and happy to look after us even when it's really busy. We noticed that they were also kind to any stray dogs / cats approaching the restaurant which made us feel impressed. What a beautiful soul ! The staff are the 💎 in this restaurant.
We loved this place 💖✨️ The food was outstanding with a perfect portion sizes. Everything we had were delicious and fresh. We are particularly recommend the crispy peking duck (nasi tempong bebek peking goreng) !!! The flavours were spot - on. This is to date the best crispy peking duck of many I have tried both in Bali and outside. Excellent value for money in the heart of Kuta area. It's easy for us to say that we will come back again.
Just a note - you cannot book to guarantee your table here. You have to join line up to place your order. It can be very busy period during lunch rush hour and summer school holidays but it is...
Read moreOne of our favorite places to go to, as we live in Bali and blend in more with the locals. What to expect? And why only 3 stars? Because this place is not for tourists, unless you want to experience and see a place where locals go to. It’s fine, you’re welcome. But don’t expect that the service does anything for you because you’re a tourist with a higher standard, they don’t care, this is not that type of place. I would give 5 stars, but 2 major minus for loosing 2 stars. Often the tables are so dirty, that you arrive and have everything on the table from the previous customers, for at least 10 minutes. If lucky they’ll clean up but you can assume all unused tables aren’t cleaned until you actually get your food. The second is the very dry chicken. Some like it, some don’t, but the average customer, like me, don’t like it. Bottom note: Here you’ll eat with your hands, you wash them before and after your lunch/diner. No fork or spoon, unless...
