We asked for fish and chips and they didn’t have it. Instead they tried to push us for seafood bbq. We then ordered chicken and chips and calamari rings. Chicken was not how we expected (chicken fillet with crumb fried is what we expected) see picture for what they served. And the calamari rings were the worst we had in life. See picture again.

So many people selling bracelets and irritating you the whole time you sit and relax. Restaurant people won’t send them out or anything. I encountered 5 bracelet sellers in 1 hour at night.

That’s not it. We ordered 2 large beer from menu where it was written 50k for large. And the one they served was singaraja. Singaraja and prost is usually cheaper than bintang everywhere. While paying bill he has put 60 for the beer. My husband took the menucard and showed him and he says that’s an old menu and here is the new one! Who does this. If the menu is old then inform us before ordering and we will even pay 70k if its written so! Don’t try to scam tourists like this. I then said him I will write a review and he gave back the money 20k ! I went to click a photo of the menu they gave us and he came onto me!! Total nonsense. Then he says we don’t want customers like you. Who would come to such place who tries to scam you! I suggest you not to go here and be careful about these scams. This might look like a mere 10k idr. But imagine how many customers a day...

I'm staying close by and see what a rip off this place is and the number of dissatisfied customers. 1/ The hygiene in the place is disgusting. The BBQ area consists of an old formica table where the fish is laid out, with no ice underneath the fish and the odd bag poured on top but with nothing to hold it in. Then the filthy basin where the fish is hacked apart with a rusty old knife before being manhandled onto two rusty old half oil drums. Once cooked it is carried through the restaurant, dripping on the floor, into the equally filthy and badly lit kitchen. Go to the toilet while your fish is being plated - it's the same room! 2/ The male owner is a liar and rude and the female manager will say anything to get an order. I know much of the fish is not fresh as they don't have the turnover 3/ There is no proper price list published and they get what they can from the customer. If you must eat there then ask for the special and you will be told the oldest fish they have left, then don't order it. Get them to weigh the fish and smell it before you accept 4/ They say they take credit cards but then claim the machine is broken. Often the rice is old and the vegetables soggy 5/ There are a stupid number of tables for the few clients. You have to ask for the basics that should be on the table. There are two wall fans for a large area.

Okay, so this is a long reviews but if you like bbq fish it’s worth the read.

So, this place is all about the bbq fish, which I habe to say they cooked perfectly, soft, flakey and crispy. Me and my friend had the parrot fish which I could totally recommend.

But read more, this is restaurant where you can play the game.

The fish prices are negotiable so decide what you want and a good guide is 130-200 for a 2 person fish depending on the type.

Tell them you don’t want the vegetables and salsa, there terrible: get yourself fries or whatever else you want. You will have to negotiate this in with the price of the fish.

They might cook it to perfection but they don’t know what seasoning is, and no I’m not joking. They were so confused when I asked for lemon, salt and pepper. So confused that I wouldn’t ask them to do it, just ask them for it yourself

The fish is cooked so well, if you season to your own taste it’s amazing.

However the price you pay, you shouldn’t have to be doing that.

It’s expensive for what you get, but if you play it right you could have a great meal
