Read moreEDIT - Having contacted Java Dancer, they very kindly invited us back to their restaurant and we had a wonderful meal. The staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic. They clearly care about their customers judging by the response we had. Thanks Java Dancer :)
Really disappointing meal. We previously visited Java Dancer by Alun-Alun Tugu Malang and had a really nice coffee so wanted to visit this bigger branch for a meal.
All the food was completely cold when it arrived.
The service here was incredibly slow and disorganised. Our food was clearly waiting around for a long time in the kitchen. We asked it to be heated up and half of it was - the other half still cold. So had to ask again... It was very busy which was clearly part of the problem. I had reserved a table too.
When it came to paying, we wanted to raise the issues we had but the cashier didn't empathise at all. We weren't expecting a free meal by any means but we weren't happy paying full price for an expensive meal when it was cold and slow to arrive. I'm don't like writing bad reviews (and rarely do) but this was such a terrible experience I write about it.

Read moreOverrated and overpriced coffee. To start my opinion I'm a coffee lover. This coffee shop was so-called has good coffee, so I tried all three shop to see what's the good coffee tasted like. I tried Sidikalang Arabica and Peaberry Lintong Arabica, both was brewed with french press to get the taste that I like. But I was so dissapointed with the taste, it's didn't taste like it supposed to be. To compare it, I always buy freshly roasted coffee and order it to be coarsely ground since I like to brew it with french press, I order them online and they was shipped far away from Medan to Malang. I bought the same variety of coffee as I ordered at Java Dancer : Sidikalang Arabica and Peaberry Arabica(from Lintong) so it's fair to compare them, but it's taste so much better. I don't know what's wrong with Java Dancer, could be the quality of the beans, the false roasting or the barista wasn't really into coffee. It didn't taste like over extracted coffee(I did over extracted my coffee sometimes for 10-15mins and it's still fine). But not all is bad, the Hawaiian pizza, crispy tofu, crispy mushrooms, butter fried bananas, and the pancakes was good(really good and a lil bit too salty...
