Namu Guest House — Hotel in Malang

Namu Guesthouse is in an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk to the Ijen area and close to several charming cafés. I was fortunate to secure a weekend stay, as the rooms tend to book up quickly. The check-in process was seamless, likely due to the limited number of rooms, and after paying a deposit of 50,000 IDR, I was able to head straight to my room.

I stayed in the "Namu 28" room, which was quite spacious for a solo traveler staying for two days. The room features a modern industrial design but remains neat, clean, and well-organized. With only a handful of rooms available, parking space is limited to around 4-5 cars. However, since the hotel is tucked away in a small alley, it was quiet, providing a peaceful environment for sleeping.

For breakfast, they offer simple options such as bread and jam, along with coffee and tea. A shared microwave is also available for guests who wish to heat up their food.

Overall, this "guesthouse" has earned its popularity due to its trendy design, affordable prices, comfort, and prime location. I highly recommend Namu Guesthouse for anyone looking for a stylish, budget-friendly, and conveniently located...

Love every bit of my stay in Namu! Thoughtful property with clean modern minimalist design with a touch of "unfinished" industrial look. They managed to keep rooms and the whole area crispy clean! Well managed and easily located, accessible with cars. Close to many shops and cafes/restaurants. Each room is equipped with working table, ensuite shower room, reed diffuser, bluetooth speaker, smart TV with YouTube and netflix. You can also ask for Iron and/or hairdryer at the front desk, free of charge! All guests can have free flow coffee / tea / milo (using nestle automatic machine) and free toast with jam every morning and afternoon. Definitely one of the best stay I had ever been in Malang.

(-) During my 3 nights stay, I had a problem with my TV. All channels were on and off, I couldn’t even watch their smart TV normally and smoothly for more than 10 seconds without signal interruption. Very annoying. None of the staffs could fix it and told me that it happened to all room caused by internet provider…, until the last 1 night I met one staff named Bagas whose fix it in just about 5 minutes.
