Bakso Bakar Pahlawan Trip (BABATRIP) — Restaurant in Malang

My friend who lives in Malang took me here to try the famed Bakso Bakar of Malang when I visited her. I had never heard of it before so I was rather curious, I thought it would just be meatballs grilled on a skewer but apparently you still get the soup on the side which was a nice touch. Additionally, they’re very generous with the fried shallots which I absolutely love!

The location was bigger than I thought, when my friend told me about it I thought it would be a regular sized stand with a few chairs and tables but it was actually reminiscent of a decent sized open air late night hang out spot in Jakarta but better! Because the Malang air is so nice and cool especially compared to the stifling humid heat of Jakarta!

Aside from the Bakso Bakar they also have a selection of other dishes, my friend and I shared a portion of Pisang Bakar Coklat Keju, which I actually liked (and that’s saying something because in general I’m not that fond of bananas...)

My friend said their price had gone up since the last time she’s been there though but all in all it was a really nice hang out place...

If you want to taste the special bakso from Malang, go here and invite your friends to come along with you. It is very tasty. I ordered "bakso bakar" which stands for a "grilled bakso" with some spicy.. you can choose the seasoning.. there are some that I know = spicy with different level, ordinary, mozarella bakso, etc. You can order bakso with a salty broth and add with also the chilli sauce and ketchup or soybean it will be better. For the drink, you can choose from the soft drink until a healthier drink like some kind of fruit juices served here. The place is comfortable to bring a lot of people here. If you go by bus with your coworker or friends, yes indeed you can take them all to eat at this place. Enjoy your meal and have a good journey...

The Place Sooooo tidy and clean. There are mini garden to make you more comfortable. So peaceful, so good. You can buy some souvenir in the souvenir shop near the cashier.

The Taste The Bakso Bakar itself taste good. Eat with the broth make so smooth and good. I'd ordered Mie Pangsit Bakso Goreng, and it's was sooo tasty. The Bakso Goreng is crispy outside, tender inside. Very pleasing in the mouth.

The Price Kinda pricey, for 20k-50k. Pricey, but taste so good.

The Service The staff are really friendly and nice. After the customer leave, they're clean the table...
