Luke Artisan Bakery is a cafe that specializes in baked goods and coffee, located on the scenic Pahlawan Trip Road. I visited this place with my wife and we ordered Luke benedict, tuna aglio olio, americano and salted caramel latte. For dessert, we had tiramisu and croissant with strawberry on top.
The food was decent, but not outstanding. The americano was better than average, with a hint of arabica blend. The tuna aglio olio was cheesy and filling, but the cheese smell was a bit off-putting for my wife. The Luke benedict was bland and needed some salt and pepper, which we had to ask for ourselves. The tiramisu was too sweet and lacked the coffee flavor that I expected. The croissant was the best part of the meal, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The price was on the high side for what we got. I think they added the word âartisanâ to justify the higher price tag. The service was okay, nothing special. The atmosphere was disappointing. The place felt tight and cramped, and they were doing some renovation on the second floor. The furniture was generic and looked like they bought it from a store without much thought.
Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a great cafe experience. There are better options in Malang with better food, price, service, and atmosphere. Luke Artisan Bakery needs to improve on many aspects if they want to compete with other cafes in the area. I would rate it 2.725...
Read moreeverything i ordered was so good except the pandan kaya croissant cause it tasted weird for me (taste burned and slightly bitter from kaya jam and almost burned croissant) idk if the burned croissant is their style or itâs indeed burned. the almond croissant was good and not burned on top of it (different texture and taste with the croissant from pandan kaya).
except that one, i really love the other pastriesss! my fav was the lemon cruffin and smoked salmon quiche (MUST TRY!). also, try their salted caramel latte (super good)đ i tried the butterscotch latte but it wasnât that special so i recommend u guys to try the ice salted caramel latte!
i came quite early (around 11 am) and everything was already almost sold out so i didnât try the tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, and strawberry tart.
(-) -slow service, my food came after 20 mins only for the pastries and coffee -pandan kaya jam in the croissant tasted weird and i donât like the overbaked texture from it
overall, will come back for sure to try the...
