Indica Restaurant & Bar at The Tamarind — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Just WOW! This place is breathtaking.

The service was impeccable. All staff spoke perfect English and engaged in light but genuine conversation.

They informed us of the ingredients they were out of that day and seated us by pulling out our chairs and folding the napkins on our laps.

Beautiful ambience, next to the pool and a few water features so all you hear is running water and the background music.

For the quality, taste, decoration, service and the fact that it's a 5-star Hotel - the price is excellent. We ordered the burger, and chicken with mash potato and caramelised veg. Both were incredibly delicious and well presented.

We ordered the apple crumble for dessert and the staff surprised me with a tiny cake and a candle, singing me happy birthday. They'd even written 'happy birthday Melissa' on the plate. It was such a lovely gesture.

The food was absolutely amazing - cooked to perfection. It was breath of fresh air compared to the other Western food available in Nusa Lembongan, but also Bali generally. Indica would not be out of place in central London, where we are from. Highly recommend Black Angus Steak, truffle fries (best we've had ever), and white chocolate mousse. We were staying at another resort but once we found Indica, we came here every night for dinner and even went for breakfast on our last day!

On top of this, the staff were so attentive and friendly. They made the whole experience even better, and nothing was too much trouble. We were leaving early on our last day and Mita arranged our breakfast for the morning even though we were not staying at Tamarind resort. A real credit to the resort and we will definitely be staying here and eating at Indica next time we are in...

Best thing about this place was the lovely infinity pool view and the staff. The staff were really nice so it would be 2 stars of it wasnt for them. The food for $45aud for 2 people, we got a substandard pizza, a spaghetti Bolognese and a chicken Caesar salad. Flavours were absolutely not up to scratch. Wouldn't recommend and especially for the prices paid. The pizza 'dough' was like a cracker and took a while to come out. The bolognese had shredded meat rather than usual, and portions weren't too big either but they did come out within 15 minutes which were good. They were kind enough to add pineapple o the pizza and mushrooms and olives to the spaghetti...
