Lemongrass — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Really lovely restaurant. I had the crispy chicken roll which was so good! And my partner had the chicken in the creamy mushroom sauce which was also delicious. They weren't the biggest portions (I got the impression other stuff on the menu was) but perfectly filling. You can only book before 6.30 and we were told to arrive after 7 and wait for a table. We got there just after 6.30 and were seated within 5 minutes, a lot came after that and had to wait a while. The service was excellent and the setting really nice, I can see why it's so popular. The prices are a bit more than the menu on the restaurant, but it was about average for lembongan prices and some of the best food we had on the island.

A few nights before we were also stranded nearby and even though we hadn't eaten there, the staff drove us back. The hotel next door had wanted to charge us 250k but lemongrass did it for free (of course we did pay them anyway). It was super...

Came here for dinner, ordered a oglio olio Spagetti and Strawberry Milkshake.

The food is very disappointing, Oglio olio serve only with a slice of garlic baguette 🥖 and excess oil/olives oil. Doesn’t taste anything but olives oil and spicy, no salty or tasty. Leave it untouched on the table cuz honesty I can’t eat it (my friends ate it as they’re hungry😂). Oglio olio is my favorite pasta at all times, I’ve tried it in most of Restaurants in Bali but in here is very tasteless.

Good thing is, the strawberry milkshake is good, not too sweet and creamy enough.

The place is quite busy and good vibes with the live music. Friendly staff and cool building. Located close by the drop off point (Arthamas Fastboat) and easy to reach by walk if you live nearby.

I hope they can improve their pasta Oglio olio so I can come back, try and see how they improve...

I’m giving this 2 stars because the Mahi we ordered was not Mahi at all. We are from Miami, Florida and we are big on fishing. We know what a real fresh mahi tastes like. For the gentleman who worked there to tell us the fish is fresh and it’s Mahi is a shame. I’m not sure if they don’t know or they are lying. Unfortunately, most patrons may not be able to distinguish the difference. That fish was extremely fishy. We had to send it back. On a good note, we ordered their eggplant appetizer, which was quite delicious. Another disappointment is the sanitation. There was a man, who worked there, was using the bathroom while I was washing my hands and didn’t wait to wash his hands after me once he finished. I just hope he washed it in the kitchen.
