Singabu Sand Beach — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

This is a review related to the snorkeling office that is in the Restaurant only, I think it’s called Anugrah Snorkelling but I can’t find it anywhere. If you plan snorkeling with mantas please run from this place, I had the worst experience ever finding myself alone in a foreign country with a coccyx broken.

These guys are very irresponsible and drove a small boat too packed of people out in the ocean with MASSIVE waves and at high speed. I happened to sit somewhere in the front where the impact was higher, and jumped in the air and smashed my ribs and coccyx on the ground.

Tour operators has the responsibility of safety, but not these guys! The treatment I received later was a shame, and they told me that I was a trouble maker because I wanted to seek medical attention and do x-rays so I asked for a full refund. After yelling like chickens they decided to give me 50% of refund, which of course didn’t help against the $250 I had to spend at my own expenses.

Very bad people, Nusa Penida is very dangerous from this point of view, please choose wisely the activities as tour operators are driven only by money, and don’t take suggestions from locals! I learned that this tour was promoted in many hostels and villas, so please avoid it. Book everything through get your guide and read the reviews. I just got back home and I received 3 weeks of sick leave as I am not able to sit anymore.

I can’t talk about the Restaurant as I don’t know if these guys are connected, but the snorkeling had their office in the same spot.

Worst holiday ever, I will never go back to Nusa Penida!

My First time coming here, the place is nicer than the other beach clubs around that area. they've got good ambiance,  live music, and you can see the sunset. It's easy to reach this place, just off the main road. The staff is really nice and well groomed, they always smile, even during their hectic hours. appreciate it!

First of all, they give you the torn menu, the food took a bit of time (perhaps because it's a busy time, but fine for me), the pasta was delicious, the apple pie was good enough, not too sweet, but still needed some improvement to be a real apple pie, and the cocktails were perfect. But No glass for the water (you need to ask for that).

You can just press a button to call the server to come to your table, so there's no need to raise your hand and yell (especially when you’re on the 2nd floor).

For the management, please improve the awareness of the staff, always check on your guests (ask about the food and drink, even for locals), and specifically when someone enters your place, greet them and ask for any assistance, or put one hostess in front to welcome the guest and give all the information...

Smoking from other table wafts onto our table. Even moving further away the smoke still gets to us. The food. Is not great. Edible, but not quite delicious. The vegetarian gado gado is a bowl of rice with some salad and sauce. It doesn’t have the rice cubes, doesn’t have generous thick tasty peanut sauce. Doesn’t have crispy cubes of Tempe and tofu. It’s edible, just not tasty and delicious. The dish also came with shrimp crackers. The chef thinks shrimp crackers are vegetarian… I wish the staff can understand that killing sea animals is not vegetarian… If you love the ocean and want to enjoy the views from here, then be sure to check when you order vegetarian, they do not put shrimp crackers on your food! Also check no one smoking near you if you don’t like...
