It’s located right on the beach with a beautiful view. There are restaurants within walking distance. I recommend walking on the beach as walking along the road can be unsafe due to narrow roads and style of driving there. The restaurants all have beach side access. The unit has A/C, hot water (water pressure will vary often), and t.v. (No channels were in English though). I am giving only 3 stars because the bathroom is not well vented and smells (I think the smell is from the drain fumes). No refrigerator in the room either. Staff is super friendly and arranged a snorkeling tour for us. They have their own business boat which is new and nice, but it wasn’t available the day we wanted to go so they arranged it with another captain. They also offer scooters for rent if desired. There is also a scuba diving shop very close and a freediving shop about a mile East that both offer classes and diving tours. Out front there is a reef about 100 yards offshore. It is easy to see on low tide and you can walk out to it. Just on the other side it drops off a little deeper to nice corals and fish. Be careful as there is a very strong current that rips towards the West. Stay close to the reef or walk up the beach a ways first and do a drift dive. Most boats stay outside the reef as it’s shallow and has many wooden posts left behind from what I believe were fish farms once. But look out for boat traffic if...
Read moreTo those who are looking for a luxury hotel: do not go here. If you need luxury that bad just go to your dumb resort where you can remain in your insta-bubble. To everybody else who has stayed in a room on the beach; this place is magic. It is away from the busy harbour but close enough to fun restaurants and bars making this a great get-away. Waking up to the ocean every day for three weeks straight (we just felt like staying, that in itself is a sign right? ;p) was amazing. Yes, the staff here does not speak English fluently, but since we are tourists, we adapt right? ;) Try getting to know them and put some effort in greeting the staff in Balinese, it will go a long way.||||Also the cabin was not high-end, but we have seen places way more basic than this and we were very happy with it. It had running water (most of the time), A/C, a comfy bed, and a hot shower. (everybody who has traveled knows this is a treat). Also, to those complaining about electricity shorting out: that's a known problem for islands. So, if you can deal with all that, then you're in the right place. Otherwise,...
Read moreIt is true that this is on the beach, just a few metres from the waves, but neither the sea nor the beach are clean. There is no drinking water, soap or glass and no drinking water for sale. The electricity short-circuited in the room and was then turned off for all rooms while it was being fixed, and then went off elsewhere too. The "breakfast included" is a small allowance at a nearby resto that seems to be linked; unless you only want to eat like a cat that has already had breakfast you will need to pay more. (The food is not bad though.) Worst of all, the staff lied, saying that the ferry pier was 30 minutes away, when it is only 3-5 minutes away, using this to justify an exploitative price of Rupiah 100,000 for a car there (and a waste of time waiting at the pier). The person at the connected restaurant repeated the lie. This fraudulent, thieving...
