I wanted to take a moment to share my experience from my recent visit.
The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. However, the service left much to be desired. Hereβs a summary of what happened:
Our server took our order but did not repeat it back to us. While I wouldnβt describe him as rude, the communication was lacking.
Just a few minutes later, we had second thoughts about one item and wanted to make a change. We were told that it was "impossible" to amend the order because it had already been entered into the system.
When I politely asked if we could cancel the entire order and start anew, they repeated that it was "impossible" and that the servers would bear the cost of any cancellations.
This raised several questions for me: What kind of system does not allow for changes even within minutes of placing an order, especially when the food hadn't even begun cooking? When I inquired if the food had started cooking yet, I was informed that the fried rice had been pre-cooked in batches that morning and could not be modified.
Given that the food is prepared in advance and only reheated, it seems that changing our order shouldn't pose a significant issue. Ultimately, we chose not to pursue this further out of concern for the staff and their potential costs, but it was undoubtedly a disappointing experience overall.
Thank you for considering my feedback. I hope this helps improve the service for...
Β Β Β Read moreI went to mak gobang and was serve by a wonderful waitress called lita. She gave such an excellent service to us and was very diligent. I was very touched by how she gave such an unforgettable service here. Moving on to the food, I ordered the smoked chicken it was very flavorful got that sweet and tangy taste especially served with their chilli that had a good kick to it. Not only that, I ordered their fried cireng which was very scrumptious and savory. Not to mention, I ordered the fried banana also but sadly it was tasteless it was kindda soggy and had no sweetness coming from the banana at all. Now for the place itself, it was really nice and homie it felt as if we are in bali. Overall, the place and service was amazing but perhaps the food can be improved more especially the banana. And on a side note I did order the kue pancong also but I had to cancel it cause it wasnβt what I expected cause it was burned and very tasteless. And for the price itself it was kindda worth it very reasonable price they had but anyways keep up the spirit and hope to improve better for the good of...
Β Β Β Read moreHonestly didn't have high expectation of this place. Thought would be just another cute new restaurant but I'm so glad I gave it a try! Ordered the nasi liwet jantung pisang, cireng, and a cup oh hot tea on a rainy afternoon, it was heaven! The nasi liwet consisted of asinan, which was amazing, fresh, crunchy and just the right acidity and sweetness. The jantung pisang was just delicious. The tahu and tempe bacem was marinated just right oh so good and sayur asem was refreshing. The only thing I didn't quite like about the nasi liwet was my fried chicken, it was too salty and hard to chew. Next time I'll try ordering with ayam bakar or empal instead. The cireng was just amazing! Just the right chewiness, saltiness and crispiness. The sambal was sweet a bit tangy and not too spicy. Really complementing the cireng. Oh and another portion of asinan yay. The hot tea was javanese jasmine tea, nicely brewed. Try to avoid sitting...
