TOMO Hotpot — Restaurant in Pagedangan

Affordable Hotpot at Gading Serpong! Went here as HDL was fully booked but we were craving hotpot.

We ordered the Hotpot Family Set with Collagen and Mala Cheese soup bases, which were delicious! We loved both soups, the Collagen was very comforting and the Mala Cheese (more or less) reminded us with the famous HDL’s Mala Susu’s soup (less spicy, though).

The only downside was the meat— the meat included in the set was hardly enough for three pax (despite of us being 4 pax, I’d say the meat portion would only be best served for 2 pax max.). Hence, we added in the meat set plate, but sadly the meat wasn’t that fresh, the meat was tough and had that “freezer” taste (or maybe it was just bad luck for us). In spite of that, the fish balls were okay in both quantity and taste.

Regards to hospitality, staffs were friendly and kind. Ambience is okay. To note, the place isn’t that big, there were only about 5 tables (if I’m not mistaken), so if you’re planning to go here, especially during dinner time, best to reserve to be safe!

Affordability of their hotpot was top notch though! This is compared to others hotpot restaurants. We spent Rp326.600,00 in total for the family set (2 soup bases, 3 ice teas, 3 rice + 2 ice blewah from free review) + meat plate set, all for 4 pax.

Would I come back? I’d say possibly? It was definitely much more affordable than other hotpots, and they serve delicious soup bases.

Overall, it’d definitely be a 5/5 if we had better experience with the meat. Thank you TOMO Hotpot!...

Tried Tomo Hotpot in Gading Serpong and the food was actually good fresh ingredients, tasty broth (I liked the tomyum one!), and the place was cozy and clean.

But there was a bit of miscommunication with one of the waiters when we ordered. We mentioned our soup choices clearly, but what came out was different. Took a while to get it fixed, and the staff didn’t really apologize or explain what went wrong. They were polite, but not very responsive during the whole thing.

Still enjoyed the food, but I hope the service can be improved. maybe better coordination or clearer communication would help. Would still consider coming back, but hoping for a smoother...

Pengalaman makan malam yang kurang menyenangkan. Saya masuk resto jam 8 malam saat weekday, dimana keluarga saya adalah satu2nya tamu di tempat ini. Sengaja pilih tempat yg sepi dengan harapan bisa mendapatkan pelayanan yg cepat, namun ternyata yg saya dapatkan adalah pelayanan yg lambat & tidak responsif dari para waitress di resto ini.

Pada kunjungan kali ini, saya pesan family set & set daging.

Untuk daging bakar, set daging sapinya langsung dibakar terpisah di luar dengan bumbu marinasi yang cukup enak & meresap. Jujur tekstur daging dan rasanya buat saya cukup enak, walaupun menurut orang tua saya, daging sapinya agak sedikit bau.

Untuk family set, datangnya lamaaaaa sekaliiii. Selain itu, kompor yg dipakai sepertinya jg ada trouble, saya sudah nunggu sampe 20 menit lebih namun kuahnya masih tidak panas, sehingga makanan pun tidak matang. Kami sudah beberapa kali menanyakan ke waitress perihal kompor yg bermasalah ini, dan menginfokan mungkin gas nya habis & perlu diganti, namun mereka no respons. Hingga akhirnya saya marah2 minta ganti kompor, baru mereka ganti kompornya. Untungnya setelah ganti kompor, akhirnya masakan pun matang. Namun karena sudah terlanjur lama menunggu, keluarga saya jadi sudah males2an untuk makan hotpotnya. Pas mau nambah kuah pun lama sekali datangnya, +/- 10menitan baru diberikan kuah tambahan.

Untuk makanan menurut saya rasanya cukup enak. Dengan harga yg affordable, kualitas dagingnya cukup baik. Kuah kaldu ayamnya juga enak, recomended. Sangat disayangkan kualitas makanan yg baik tidak diseimbangkan dengan pelayanan yg baik pula.

Semoga ada peningkatan pelayanan untuk...
