Had dinner here and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. The staffs were very nice and attentive. There were lots of space for parking.
Ordered Subshack Roast Chicken and Chicken Chop. The staff said they would take around 15 minutes, but they actually came out before 15 minutes. So it was a fast service, keep it up!
The Subshack Roast Chicken came with mashed potato and mixed veggies. The chicken itself was tender and juicy. The mashed potato was creamy, not too soft and still has texture.
The Chicken Chop came with basmati rice, sunny side up and mixed veggies. I like the french black pepper sauce, tastes savory, sweet and you can taste the hint of pepper. The chicken itself was very juicy and tender because they used the thigh. The mixed veggies are the same as the ones in the Subshack Roast Chicken. They were nice and crunchy.
I would recommend the Chicken Chop if you're not a fan of chicken with bones. But if you don't mind the bones, the Subshack Roast Chicken is also nice to try. Overall they serve nice food, and the...
Read moreWE JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS!!! This sandwich shop (previously Quiznos) is serving coffee now!
Nestled in the heart of BSD City, Subshack offers a cozy place for us not only to enjoy their sandwich and coffee, but also as a WFC/meeting spot accompanied by other menu like pasta/rice/dessert, etc.
They are now serving coffee (using blend 70% arabica and 30% robusta), non-coffee, dessert, sandwich, ricebowl and other main course too!
What we tried: Zesty Steak Sandwich 6" using white brioche with Waffle Fries. (YUM!! Waffle fries side is a must!) Hot Cappuccino (it's bold here!) Kopi.Co Brulee (not too sweet, nice balance, we prefer this than the hot capp hehe) Pistachio Affogato (blend of the sweet pistachio gelato and the bitter espresso are just nice!) Roast Chicken (soft, love the gravy & creamy mashed potato) Cookies Gelato (warm choco chips cookies and cold milk bun gelato. The cookie isn't too sweet so overall sweetness level is...
Read moreI haven’t been to Quiznos for a while so it was surprising to me when I came back and apparently now it’s called Subshack. The surprise was a pleasant one, however, because I found the menu have been expanded upon.
I tried their Steak with Cabe Ijo / Green Chili, and fragrant rice. Unexpectedly they asked me on my steak done-ness preference, which I appreciate. I ordered a Medium and it indeed arrived as specified.
As you can see from the photo, it was well portioned, and was delicious beyond my expectations for its price (and the fact that it is a sub sandwich chain no less).
The steak is well seasoned and with the right done-ness, The rice was very fragrant and flavorful, And the green chili was aromatic and has the right amount of heat, enough for you to feel it, but not enough to overwhelm you.
Overall it has always remain a nice place to do WFC (Work From Cafe lol) but the new menu seems nice. Great experience, will definitely come...
