If you're still looking for a good all-chicken (and some menu, fish) based ramen, do try it. It's not as good as it used to but, still edible. A shame, to me at least, their ramen soup tastes a lot more watered down nowadays.

This used to be my go to place to eat ramen after moving out of Setiabudi and finally moving to BSD.

Used to eat in the old Radio Dalam branch (not the newer Honten one of today) back then and when they finally open in Plaza Indonesia, I became a regular there because it's closer to where I work and live. A great ramen after work was sooo good.

During covid outbreak, sometime around 2021, they started to change some things: You have to buy the extra chilli oil (it used to be free). When you order ramen with extra meat (niku mori), it used to come with tons of meat, nowadays they only give half of what it used to. Their finely ground pepper, which now mixed with garlic used to be a lot more tasty. They used to use a lot more coarse black and white pepper, mixed with garlic and lime leaf! Which gave..in my opinion a better taste than the one of today.

Found some photos of things I mentioned above. I'll attach those here.

But! Back then the soup is still good (and because the soup is what makes ramen...well, a ramen) so it didn't matter much.

Fast forward to 2024: Their extreme ramen is no longer "extreme". I can't find the thick broth nor the large amount of toppings they used to come with.

Tokyo and Hokkaido ramen now taste close to plain water with salt.

Their policy of no outside food or drink is getting more and more annoying.

I once purposely parked my car at P3 near the entrance of AEON mall (today the one near rockstar gym) just to eat the ramen and then go back home.

I literally bring nothing but my clothings and yet, they literally say this in front of my face: "Di sini dilarang membawa makanan atau minuman dari luar". Like, seriously! Can't you see I brought nothing else? I just wanna eat!

Look, I understand they're all just following the rules put up by whoever their (apparently low quality) management now in charge of Indonesia branch.

Seirock-ya Indonesia thinks that because they are so popular, they can get away with things I mentioned above. Well, they might just be! I can't find a better "halal" ramen as of yet.

For those of you who think I'm just spouting nothing: Rayu (chilli oil) is FREE in almost every single ramen store in Japan. Some popular ramen stores in Japan, will allow their customers to get as much chopped spring onion (daun bawang)...

I went to seirock ya in aeon serpongg on september first 2019. I was on waitinglist knowing that it has many customers. I knew this famous restaurant from soany reviews. I was told by the waitress to wait just near the restaurant. Then, after waiting some times, I went back to the restaurant and I asked the waitress how long i should be waiting again. Turned out that my name is crossed by her and there are names after me that she let in. I was so pissed that she was the one that told me to wait in that sofa near her but she didn't even say my name or come to me remembering she is the one that told me to sit there. And i was pissed that she said that i didn't hear her. "You're the one that told us to sit there right? And why you don't come to us?" She said thay she already came to me but i didn't respond her. That made me pissed and made bad first impression about the restaurant. It is non sense that she said she called me 4 times near me, that i didn't hear anything just the loud sounds of the mall. From what I got is that you can have a big name and know that you are loved. But, a little thing like this (bad service) is a shame for this "big" restaurant. I don't want to blame the restaurant after all. But, maybe the waitress can be more trained or need some briefings maybe? I was sad honestly that I wanted to taste this so bad. But yeah, just because of that I was so sad and pissed. But I hope this only happened to me and won't happen...

Probably on everyone’s favorite halal ramen list — we went to Seirock-Ya Ramen the other day! It has been a while since my last visit. I ordered the Extrim Ramen which is the bestseller here. For the original one, you get a slice of lemon with 2 slices of chicken. If you want egg that’s an extra 12k or with its spicy sauce it’s an additional 6k, etc. In general, it’s pretty pricey. But the taste itself is great though. You can definitely taste the umami and the creaminess of the broth yet clean taste from the added lemon. We also ordered the Miso Ramen, unlike other restaurants that I’ve tried, they’ve got the best miso broth for their ramen. Also their noodles is perfect, they’ve cooked it well. I think they have been consistent with their ramen throughout the year. Would definitely go back here again if...

Seirock is never dissapoints indeed. Already have my first time Seirock ramen at Plaza Indonesia for its Tori Paitan. Here the second visit for another their menu: Extreme Ramen. The chicken broth (mixed with seafood broth, as i’ve heard) was extraordinary rich, and one important thing it was never feel stinky within the tongue. Many Japanese ramen tenants can shout themselves out as ‘Authentic one’, but however it depends to people personal gastronomy. I think Seirock is still worthy the price and successfully winning the people who come in, with their great experience of ramen eating. However, I’ve never been agreed if the boiled egg have to be excluded from the single ramen price to be as just additional one. The last and one thing for sure, I will come back for trying another Seirock ramen menus 👌🏼✨
