No nonsense satay for the hungry. Nothing to complain about, but not that it is too good that I carve for it. The vegetable salad with shrimp paste is also good, if you like veggies... and shrimp paste. Then the herbal pork belly soup (kwe kia theng) across the street. It was on Friday and still 07.14 in the morning when we arrived at Warung Kopi (coffee shop) ASIANG, located at Jalan Merapi (Merapi street), Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. But, the shop had already been full of customers. I didn't see any other coffee shop along this alley. This Warung Kopi ASIANG opens at 03.00 o'clock in the morning, and closes at 01.00 noon. Look at the picture carefully : the coffee shop owner himself mixed the coffee for his customers....and, he wore no shirt when he did it. Yes, that's the way he does his job. I drank 2 cups of black coffee there to show you that I realy enjoyed the ASIANG's...

But you have to come early, they usually are finished in the lunch time. You can order from hawkers who sells their food products outside Asiang coffee shop. They have Indonesian porridge, Indonesian satay and many other stalls outside and you can dine them inside the coffee shop too. The owner is very kind despite his looks. However they need to improve their service, some of the waiter are still chewing their food while serving customer. The price of the coffee is consiserably...
