Excellent food. I came here with my partner as the reviews are so high, she was complaining about the walk as we made our way in the afternoon heat. From the first bite and 'wow!' she soon forgot the walk. I ordered the suckling pig a spiced pork dish with green vegetables and rice which was excellent. My other half ordered the grilled tuna special which came with rice and a lovely side salad. The tuna and toppings it was cooked with were exceptional, one half topped with sambal sauce the other half with garlic butter and onion balinese sauce. We ordered an extra bowl of sambal sauce and if you like spicy (and delicious) food i suggest you do the same. Great experience. Well prepared, well presented, well priced Indonesian food (amongst others). Western and Balinese food served too by a friendly, attentive staff (even got a small bowl of peanuts with my drink while waiting for the main course). Also liked the way that your plate is put upon a thick wooden serving platter to raise it up to nearer mouth height so you don't have to bend over all the time to avoid spillage. Prices are good. I'm writing this review as I just finished my chicken satay. Two days ago, I was one of the many victems to be caught by the infamous Bali belly. Today is the first day I can finally eat like a normal person again and there couldn't be any better place to do it than at Barclona. Everything is on point: the food is amazing and has the right portions, the owner and the staff are very kind and always open for a converstation. If you are looking for a good place to eat real Indonesian/Balinese food, look no further. You will definitely leave this place...
