ELISSE Chinese Comfort Food — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

I decided to finally stop by for quick lunch here and I was surprised with the experience. First of all, Bali has become absurdly touristy for the long termers like me that sometimes even water comes at cost! So big surprise is I come here greeted with AC and, a glass of cold water! I ordered black pepper rice bowl with tempeh and tofu. I was not keen about how spicy it has become but rest assured it took me back to feeling home with the Chinese flavors. I loved the home cooked feel, and the jug of icy water + the wifi is very strong - good for coworking space for afternoon break from the heat. I have huge praises for family owned businesses and this is one of them. A local family from Bandung and you can see how they work on everything together- such a refreshing way to do business.

PS they do takeout and delivery within seseh for free — you’re welcome, just say recommended by Sandy! ;)

PPS ask for special off-the-menu Mum’s congee with chicken broth. Best ever !!

We were so glad to discover ELISSE Chinese Comfort Food, located conveniently right next to our hotel, Spacesbali. The restaurant is clean, bright, and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming space.

From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth—Elly’s big smile greeted us like old friends. On our first visit, we ordered the stir-fried rice noodles, which came out sizzling hot and full of flavour.

We loved it so much that we returned every day during our 3-day stay. Our favourites included the General Tso chicken on rice, salt & pepper tofu with vegetables, and the crispy spring rolls. Be sure not to miss the magic Elisse chilli paste—it adds just the right kick.

As we enjoyed our meals, the full glass frontage gave us a lovely view of the quiet street outside, letting us watch the rhythms of daily life in Seseh pass by. It added a peaceful, almost meditative quality to each dining experience.

I often browse google maps for nearby places of interest. While searching for a peaceful area via the beach front. I spotted a chinese restaurant. Marked the restaurant on google map and rode towards.

There are mongolian as well as Indonesian chinese cuisine. The fusion cuisine restaurant vibes seem great. Do patronize the restaurant and try Mom's recipe. Likewise to receive warm greetings from Dad's and both their lovely children.
