Lyma Beach — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

Really regret ever going there.

Last night me and my girlfriend were looking for a place to have dinner in a chill environment and found this place close to us on Google Maps. It was pretty close to us, the reviews were quite good and prices seemed reasonable (the prices on the menu pictures are outdated and were actually much higher now). We arrived to the location and noticed that the place was pretty empty so we hesitated about going in but still decided to do so. So we entered, found a place to sit and ordered a drink (beer for me, prosecco for girlfriend) and both also ordered a salad. The food wasn't exceptional but wasn't bad either. Once I went to pay the bill, I paid it, but then noticed that I was charged 150k for the prosecco but it was 100k in the menu. So I inquired about it and was initially told that the prosecco I ordered had ran out and they poured me a more expensive drink instead. I then asked where in the menu was the actual drink so I could see the price but then he realized that all bubbles in the menu were 100k, there even wasn't a 150k option! Then there was some explanation that his friend created the bill and he doesn't know about it (bunch of gibberish) and he proposed to pay back 50k in cash which I accepted (I later realized that I still lost the tax I payed on the 50k). But that wasn't the worst part.

We were driving back to our hotel when I mentioned to my girlfriend that my stomach feels weird to which she replied that she feels unwell as well. When we get pack to the hotel we both already feel pretty ill and then it started... I sat on the toilet pretty much the whole night, my girlfriend was puking every 15min or so, then it was vice versa pretty much until the morning. It was clear that it was the worst food poisoning either of us had ever had. Today I got some medicine from the pharmacy but other than that have been unable to leave our room (to have a toilet close by)

PS. We had been in Bali 2 weeks before this have eaten in a lot of different places (including local warungs, eaten fruits handed over by local farmers) but hadn't has issue...

We discovered this establishment by walking past to the beach as we were staying close, we were looking for a quick meal and were greeted by EKA who was extremely welcoming. We asked EKA for recommendations and she recommended Nasi Goreng , spring rolls, chicken mushroom pasta, crispy salmon, chicken wings and popcorn chicken and each dish was spectacular with unique and authentic flavours. Clearly the best we’ve had in Bali over 9 trips to Bali.

We enjoyed it so much that we reserved a table for dinner and asked to do it at 7pm but EKA told us if it’s possible to come at 6pm so we see the sunset over the beach and we agreed and it was amazing over the ocean.

Since EKA recommended us an amazing lunch we asked her to recommend what to have for dinner and she recommended their wood fire satay. We ordered Chicken satay, seafood satay, beef satay and pork satay. We also added grilled tiger prawns, pork ribs , Nasi goreng , meat lovers pizza. With the prawns and pork ribs we got offered some sides which we took 2 grilled potatoes 1 grilled veg and a mixed salad. We also received 4 sauces mushroom sauce, teriyaki sauce , pereroni sauce and African spicy sauce. Everything was so freshly cooked and tasted so good and was freshly cooked. The satays were cooked in front of us on the bbq.

Thankyou to Lyma beach restaurant and all the staff for an amazing experience. A special mention to EKA once again for going up and beyond to host us and make us feel at home. Thankyou EKA we will definitely recommend this establishment and will definitely be back every...

Me and wife recently had the pleasure of dining at Lyma Beach and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with soft lighting and beautiful decor that set the perfect mood for a delightful meal.

The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. They offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal and drinks

Overall, Lyma Beach exceeded my expectations and is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
