Biku Café is a true gem in the heart of Bali. From the moment you step into the charming 150-year-old Javanese joglo, you're transported into a space that feels both steeped in tradition and wonderfully warm. The ambiance alone is enough to make you fall in love, with antique woodwork, a cozy library corner, and soft lighting that invites you to linger. But it’s the food, drinks, and heartfelt service that truly elevate the experience.

The menu at Biku offers a perfect blend of Indonesian classics and international comfort food, but their signature dishes really stand out. The Nasi Campur A’la Biku is a flavorful journey through Indonesian cuisine, with tender beef rendang, spicy shredded chicken, satay lilit, and a medley of vegetables, tofu, and tempeh all artfully plated around fragrant rice. Another standout is the Pepes Ikan Laut, where fresh fish is marinated in rich Balinese spices and grilled in banana leaves – smoky, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. The Babi Kecap is another favorite: succulent pork cooked in a sweet soy sauce, balanced with eggplant and rice for a comforting, flavorful bite.

As for the drinks, Biku offers an impressive cocktail list that reflects the tropical vibrance of Bali. The Coconut Martini is absolutely divine – creamy, tropical, with just the right kick of vodka and coconut liqueur. For something a little more refreshing, the Strawberry & Basil Mojito is a perfect balance of sweetness and herbal crispness. And if you're more of a tea enthusiast, Biku’s extensive tea selection – one of the best on the island – is a dream. Their signature high tea sets, served daily, are both beautifully presented and delicious, offering a variety of sweet and savory bites paired with expertly brewed tea.

What truly makes Biku shine is the atmosphere. Whether you're coming in for brunch, afternoon tea, or a romantic dinner, there's a timeless elegance and peacefulness that wraps around you. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready with a smile, making the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. It’s a place where you can slow down, savor every bite, and appreciate the best of Balinese hospitality.

If you're in Bali, don’t miss Biku – it’s an experience for the senses...

Had a dinner last night with friends from HKG who just arrived, and biku used to be one of my favorite restaurant. But the service was sooooo BAD! Apparently there were a big group of 3 tables but it’s unacceptable!

Here’s the details : •the soto ayam was way too salty, we sent the soto back to kitchen and tell the waiter to tell the chef to try. They brought the soup back and it was still too salty, so we asked for some hot water to add on the soup. Of course that didn’t make the soup taste better. • other friend ordered diet coke, and they brought DETOX juice ( my friend took it because he was too lazy to wait and the food came so long) . We asked for a bottle of water with ice , they brought 4 glasses of water (without ice of course) .Waited for kwetiaw goreng and decided to cancel. In the beginning they said okay, and then they came back saying that the kwetiaw was already on processed. So i waited again, no problem. •ordered grilled chicken and french fries as side dish, we waited long enough and of course the first thing they brought was french fries!!!! And we waited again for the grilled chicken (came without the gravy, until we asked for gravy)

Last night was too much , and we complaint to the staff, they apologized and gave us 1 slice of carrot cake as an apology. Thank you anyway.

We didn’t ask too much but the least they could do with the soto ayam was just to make a new one.

They said they didn’t have a full team, so why they didn’t reduce the capacity if they knew that they wouldn’t be able to serve what they’re supposed to serve.

Won’t come back and not sure we will recommend this...

A very crowded place with good selection of food. Indonesian food is marvelous here. Me and my colleagues visited 2 times for business dinner. The first dinner experience was extraordinary, we were served by a humble and friendly waiter, the foods we ordered was also very tasty! We decided to return for the second time, only this time was annoying experience. I happened to order a tasty snapper with sambal dabu dabu, when halfway eating, i found a plastic material that looks like a label from the kangkung sides. Explained to waitress about that just to know how they will handle the case. Well, she apologized quickly and asked me if she could clear up the plate, i said 'no need' as i was hungry and she asked whether i want to have dessert and i said yes for later, she collected the plastic material i put on side and 2 minutes later she came back just to inform that it might be an expiry label from the vegetables cooked along and shortly after she distributed dessert menu in a middle of our conversation after we just finished with the main course and yes we ordered several desserts and until we left the restaurant, no such gesture of genuine apology given, we paid the bill full, and last impression we got was, the waitress was kind of in a hurry to clear our tables eventhough we still had important conversations while having dessert. Wanted to order coffee but no it was already annoying experience for 6 of us. The lady host and security guard was very...

What a beautiful place to enjoy a nice meal! We stumbled upon this place because it looked like no other place and when we had walked by, it was filled with people enjoying their afternoon tea which is quite popular. We stopped by for a nice brunch and really had an enjoyable time. My partner ordered the fish and chips which was okay, but to me, chips need to be thick cut.. and the size of fish was fine. We had also ordered the Potato Cakes which were standout for us and the Bacon and Egg Burger was just average. It was sad when the burger came out and didn’t have a side like fries or something. They used to have a more extensive menu, but have been reduced to lesser variety due to covid. After brunch we enjoyed their homemade cakes of carrot cake and chocolate cake which were both quite tasty with a side of ice cream. The ice cream we had a problem with because you could feel the ice crystals which means it had been in the freezer for quite some time... As for a beverage, my partner ordered the lychee freezer and unfortunately you couldn’t even taste the lychee... Overall we spend 335k for two people which was fairly priced considering we also got dessert and drinks. I would be intrigued to come back and try their afternoon tea and other items in the near future.
