(Sept2022) Made birthday celebration reservations at Bali's Mano Beach in North Kuta. We laughed, ate, enjoyed the beach breeze & tourist chatter as we took pictures of the gorgeous sunset. Another memory formed in Bali.

Starting with an appetizer and drinks: •Goodbye Calamari (batter fried razor clams), •Tropicano Smoothie, & •Manhattan (strong & tipzy)

Dived right in with desserts: Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Ice Cream & Vanilla Gelato and a Lemon Tart with Basil Oil and Rum Raisin Gelato NOTE: don't expect some itty-bitty circular grocery store tart, this is straight from the kitchen deliciously creamy!!

After digesting and deflating curved tummies, we ordered our entrees: The birthday lady had the Double (Wagyu Bacon) Cheese Burger with Fries & a ¿Good Feeling Mixed Juice

As the "backer" of the resulting bill, I apprehensively ordered the ¿Smoked Octopus over Pimenton Potato Puree & a ¿Long Island Iced Tea NOTE: The flavors from that Chef-passionate inspired octopus is detected on every taste bud!! It was deliciously tender and the smokiness did remind us of Texas brisket.

Our bill (with tax) was a bit over 1.0juta (equivalent to $70.) and we were quite satisfied with hospitable entry, seating, service, food, vibing environment of music and breezy sunset views.

Thank you, Mano Beach House (front entry guards, kitchen & hosts)!!!

(October 3, 2024) It had been a good bit of time since our last visit to Mano and we missed the food, vibe, and service and so I made online reservations with the 250k deposit (via Choppe) in August 2024 for us to treat ourselves. Seating was good - not too crowded. Food and service has shifted with a bit of disappointment; despite looking around to get the attention of any available host, they were busy having private conversations and scanning the rest of the beach-dining area.

Once we finally were able to put in an order, we started with dessert: 1) Wingko (Indonesian coconut cake, coconut water emulsion, pineapple sauce, coconut beet foam), was given a spoon to eat with, but it's too thick and not a soft treat; and 2) Lemon Tart. Main Entrees: Grilled Scallop Cacciatore (smoked paprika, zucchini, olives, coriander, onion, fennel salsa) with fried kelp; Steamed Gyoza, and House-made Kimchi. Only thing that we finished were the gyoza and desserts (these were 'ok'). We did provide feedback to the host to share with kitchen but I think that the still-full plates and faces of dissatisfaction were visual feedbacks. (last 5-photos)

The Vibe: We watched as some other guests were inconvenienced by others generously spraying sun block - not considering that the mist was suspending over others food and in faces. For us, there was a family of adults and children seated beside us - usually never a problem; however, it was a bit of a startled distraction and inappropriateness that two of the children were allowed to change out of wet swimwear (right at the dining table) and then wander around in pure-nakedness.

This time we "dined in" for late "lunch" and spent (with...

Food: -good food and drink list -wide variety of food depending on what you are craving for that time. -they have different menu for lunch and dinner so this will depend on the time that you would want to dine in -good tasting food, I must say that they have one of the best seafood goreng in town (highly recommended)

Service: -good and nice staff, from the time you walked in the restaurant, during your stay and till you head out of the place they are all pleasing -very accommodating over all, I might have one unfortunate encounter with one of their staff but this should not reflect everyone on the restaurant itself specially there are wonderful and hard working people around to appreciate for

Ambiance: -one of the best beach houses I’ve seen on this trip -sleek and classy design, from the architecture, to dining layout and even up to the decors they chose to accentuate the store. Really cohesive. -comfortable seating options, normal table, bean bags, bench seating, and day beds -pool is clean and well maintained -shower area is always maintained specially with the hardworking crew who is designated to dry it up -bathrooms are always clean

I would like to mention the following people for being nice and genuine all through out. Suka - restaurant manager Mahesa - dining staff Patra - dining staff

These staff really exemplify the true meaning of customer service, well deserve of this recognition, keep it...
