This is a little diamond hidden away in amongst the hustle and bustle of Ubud. I am so glad I came across this little place as it was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Ubud. The food is authentic and homely which is just what we were after. The place is small and modest but that's all you really need when the food is this tasty! The chicken rendang was so full of flavour and if I could, I would have taken some back for dinner! The price was very reasonable. We shared a mixed plate between the 2 of us and were happily full. It's quite tricky to locate but keep following the maps and you won't regret it. The menu changes but if you do get a chance to try the chicken rendang, that is a must! Foods are delicious and their menu changes, depend on what the owner could get from the morning market. So even if you come everyday, she will have different dishes. Read moreWe found her house late in the evening but Julie very graciously welcomed us. She made up some really wonderful food, way too much for me to eat but my husband cleaned both our plates. There was some of her favourite yellow rice, chicken,glass noodles, vegetables sambal and more. This is a real local wurung at Julie's home in the bush. Very reasonable and well worth finding.
