We live in Bali and can tell you without any doubt that the Fu Shou Noodle Club on outskirts of Ubud on Ji Raya serve up the best Noodles in all of Bali, by far. We discovered this small eatery by chance as the frontage is quite small and almost walked past, thankfully we didn’t .First impression from the street is that it reminded me very much along the lines of the old Chinese style eatery in China, but don’t let that put you off as this small eatery isn’t competing with the larger Chinese restaurants, it’s all about specializing in a few great tasting meals. A hard choice, but we ordered the Noodles with pork belly and chicken that I can honestly say was the best I have eaten in any Asian Country. The noodles are made fresh daily to their family’s secret recipe; all the meals are advertised as home style cooking. As it’s really just a noodle style eatery, choice is limited to a few dishes, but sure they will be the best you have ever had and compatible to any Mainland Chinese eateries. The meal came with a Miso looking soup that I normally don’t bother with, but this soup was also delicious. Our meals came in at Rp 40.000 each. There’s upstairs eating available and could be preferable as traffic noise is quite loud at times thanks to young idiots with illegal motor bike exhaust noise. The owner is a Chinese lady [no doubt the reason for the great home style tasting food] was very helpful with explaining the few different meals available and went out of her way to help with any query’s or just have a chat etc. The Fu Shou will now be a regular weekly noodle fix for us and were looking forward to returning and trying all the other dishes, “but” think it will be hard not to order those delicious noodles with pork belly and chicken every time?, but going on the photos of what’s available and the few customers comments we over heard, just know any dish we do order will all...
Read moreCame here quite often, this is the second disappointed. What we know the LAST ORDER time at 7.30pm and we arrived at 7.07pm, the staff told us they can’t serve us, because they will do last order in 15minute and there is no table. But actually there is table near the window with 2chair available which is enough for us because we are table for two. So, we pointed on that table and ask can we just sit there and the staff was showing unhappy face and keep looking at other staff. End up they allowed us to dine in and we finish our food as soon as possible with dejected feeling and left the restaurant at 7.37pm. The thing is the LAst order at 7.30pm and we came 23minute before the last order and why the staff not welcoming us. We do really love the food, we came to ubud because we leave nearby ubud and close to the restaurant. Hope they can improve the staff attitude and fix the last order time!! Is just such a waste with good Food but Horrible service. Whoever wanted to came here for dinner you better come before 7pm, otherwise you will not get chance to have your food. They open the new restaurant in Dewisri. Better go to Dewisri, the staff more welcome and friendly. Seriously, This is gonna be my last visit in Fushou UBUD. SO...
Read moreThe noodle is good and recommend. But inside that pork and chicken are disappointed by me and my friend. Maybe next time I will order noodles with mushrooms.
I don’t recommend wonton soup(not delicious, even a couple of Korean didn’t finish their wonton soup too)
——————————- To answer the Fu Shou owner: I read your answer, but I can’t answer you back in google map system, so I edit my comment, hopefully it’s helpful to develop your food.
That day we ordered two kinds of different noodle with pork and chicken. Both of my friend and me felt your chicken was without any taste (We are not strong taste people, but the chicken was even not a little bit salty)
And I had to say the pork and chicken were not fresh enough and a little bit over cook.
For us, I am sorry that we don’t think your meat were good enough at that day.
About the wonton, it was different from my ex-experience about wonton, and not traditional Chinese food taste of wonton. I don’t like it. And this was the first time for my friend to taste wonton, he felt super weird and unpalatable. It was not our taste. Just personal opinion.
But I am still appreciate your noodles and willing to taste noodles again.
