I had the opportunity to dine at D'Cost Plaza Surabaya and was quite satisfied with the experience. The restaurant offers a great selection of seafood dishes, with a variety that caters to different tastes. Each dish I tried was quite delicious and well-prepared.
The ordering system is particularly noteworthy. It's user-friendly, involving picking cards with pictures of the dishes, which makes it easy and fun to choose your meal.
Price-wise, it appears quite reasonable at first glance. However, it's worth noting that the total can add up to be a bit on the higher side once you select multiple dishes. So, it's standard in comparison to similar restaurants, but it's good to keep track of your selections.
The seating area is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating options. It's well-suited for both small and large groups.
One aspect that could be improved is the serving time. While the service is quick, the dishes tend to arrive one by one, which can create a bit of an imbalance if you're dining in a group.
A nice bonus is the free refill for rice and tea, which is a thoughtful touch, especially for those who enjoy these accompaniments with their meal.
Overall, D'Cost Plaza Surabaya offers a good dining experience, particularly if you're a seafood lover. Just be mindful of the serving sequence and the potential cost of...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews or complaints, but I hope sharing my experience might help improve things.
My family and I came during a busy time, so I understand that the kitchen might be overwhelmed. We were seated at 18:58 and waited a long time for our food. Even after most of them arrived, I still had to wait for my order (nasi ayam geprek) while my family already had theirs. When mine finally came, I noticed a speck of dirt on the tomato slice, not sure if it wasn’t washed properly or if it had been dropped, but it was there.
Then, when I started eating the chicken, I saw the meat was still pink, but, unfortunately my camera couldn't pick up the color. I wasn’t sure if it was fully cooked, and I ended up not finishing it. While eating, I also noticed the table next to us had to wait for their food for a long time too.
On the bright side, the food tasted fine, otherwise, I would’ve rated this place lower.
I’ve eaten at this chain plenty of times and never had issues before. I also used to eat at d’Cost a lot when I was younger, so I was surprised this visit didn’t live up to expectations. After checking Google reviews, I saw a lot of people mentioning long wait times too. I really hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes some...
Read moreWaited ±30 mins for cireng and practically an hour for what appears to be a sad food serving of nasi sapi saus mentega. It definitely was annoying for maybe the occupancy rate was lower than 50% at the time, but the slow service could be a classic case of understaffed station with poor management because the guest next table came about 15 mins after we ordered our food but they got their food ahead of us.
Such a cherry on top experience that I still had to wait during payment because the cashier had to tweak and charge around the EDC first.
Such a shame because the taste wasn't so bad, their ifu mie was decent. Though, might want to reconsider that "jagoan seafood" jargon if your idea of seafood consists only of some frozen fish meatballs. Not technically the worst branch of d'cost I've tried so far but definitely...
