Ikon All You Can Eat — Restaurant in Surabaya

As a tourist from Singapore, I was initially impressed by the restaurant’s luxurious exterior and well-decorated reception area. However, the actual dining experience was quite disappointing.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and did their best to assist with food recommendations. Their service was the highlight of the visit.

Cons: • The only available beef was in very small, broken pieces – it seemed like leftover trimmings rather than proper cuts of meat. While the taste was acceptable, this kind of ingredient should not be served in a restaurant. • All the supposed Korean-style hot dishes looked dry and unappetizing, and the ones I tried were tough and overcooked. • The hotpot broth had a strange sour taste, and all the dipping sauces also had a sour flavor. I’m not sure if this is a local Indonesian style or if the ingredients were simply not fresh. • The floor inside the restaurant was sticky and dirty in several areas, which was quite off-putting. • The cups for drinks were greasy and had an oily film on them, making it hard to enjoy even a simple drink.

If it’s your first time visiting, don’t be fooled by the fancy entrance – make sure to check if there’s actually anything you’d enjoy eating before committing.

This is just my opinion as a tourist. Perhaps this kind of restaurant works for locals, especially considering the low price (we paid around IDR 400,000 for 3 people). But overall, it wasn’t a pleasant...

THIS AYCE RESTAURANT IS SOOOO WORTH A VISIT

Kemarin (Senin, 25 September 2023, 18.45) rela malem-malem ke sini bareng doi dari Gresik ke Surabaya.

Dari awal naik tangga itu berasa ke luxurious restaurant karena lampunya nyala waktu malem haha. Setelah itu, sebelum masuk ke restoran, kami ke meja kasir untuk melakukan pembayaran di awal.

GARIS BAWAHI YA, PEMBAYARAN DI AWAL. JADI KOSTUMER JANGAN NGOTOT PEMBAYARAN DILAKUKAN DI AKHIR CUMA GARA-GARA KALIAN DATANG ROMBONGAN. KALAU DILARANG MASUK SAMA KASIRNYA YA WAJAR KARENA DIA HANYA MELAKUKAN TUGASNYA.

Di sini ada 2 paket, yaitu 130.000nett/orang dengan waktu 90 menit dan 145.000nett/orang dengan waktu 150 menit. Sedangkan harga untuk anak-anak diukur melalui tinggi badan ya. Untuk anak-anak tinggi badan 110 cm ke bawah free, anak-anak tinggi 110 - di bawah 140 cm dikenakan 50% dari biaya normal, sedangkan anak-anak tinggi 140cm - ke atas dikenakan biaya normal.

Kami berdua pilih paket 150 menit.

Saat masuk restoran, kami disambut dengan baik oleh karyawannya dan diarahkan ke meja yang akan kami tempati. Lalu, dijelaskan apabila ada sisa makanan di meja bisa kena charge Rp50.000/100gram, kalau hanya sisa kuah tidak kena charge. Untuk kuah sukinya ada Kaldu Ayam, Kaldu Sapi, Tom Yum, Ramen, Laksa, dan Mala. Untuk kuahnya, kami pilih kuah tom yum dan ramen. Setelah itu kami dipersilakan untuk memulai makan.

Soal harga, AYCE MANA LAGI YANG NGASIH WAKTU 150 MENIT CUMA 145.000NETT/ORANG? UDAH NETT LOH.

Untuk servicenya, ini menurutku patut diapresiasi. KARYAWANNYA RAMAH SEMUA. Yang jaga parkir ramah, kasir ramah, dan karyawan lain sebanyaknya itu semuanya ramah banget. KOK BISA SIH PADAHAL ITU UDAH MALEM? Selain itu, KARYAWANNYA ACT OF SERVICE. Orang yang love language nya AOS ini pasti mleyot. Gimana nggak mleyot, waktu ambil daging itu kan tempatnya buka tutup ya, agak susah gitu langsung dibukain sama karyawannya. Dan yang paling bikin speechless, pengen dimsum siomay ayamnya tapi waktu itu belum mateng, karyawannya tanya, "Duduk di mana? Nanti kami antar". DIANTAR BENER DONG DIMSUMNYA!

Doi suka banget kuah tom yum. Yang bikin doi bahagia banget karena ada enokinya dan bakso di sini enak banget. Bakso + enoki dengan kuah tom yum = surga. Untuk per grill annya, menurut kami standar enaklah. Selain suki dan grill, ada juga beberapa yang aku notice. Yang enak itu dimsum ceker, tempura yang panjang (nggak tau namanya), sushi, chicken kungpao, teppanyaki dan saus goma. Yang nggak cocok di lidahku ada nasi goreng ikan asin dan saus suki.

Minumannya ada es campur, winter melon tea, thai tea, green tea, lemon tea, orange, soda, dan minuman panas (black nescafe, dark chocolate, cappucino, dan milo).

MINUSNYA NIH YA, NGGAK ADA ES KRIM COKLAT/VANILLA/STRAWBERRY, PADAHAL 3 RASA ES KRIM ITU BASIC BANGET. MENURUTKU NIH TERSEDIA RASA UNIK TAPI NGGAK TERSEDIA RASA BASIC IS A BIG NO;(

Untuk lain-lainnya, kompornya bisa di besar-kecilkan, jadi tidak takut gosong. Musholla dan kamar mandi bersih (toilet cewek-cowok pisah).

Setelah makan, sebaiknya ditumpuk rapi agar lebih memudahkan pegawai membersihkan mejanya ya.

Intinya, makan 2,5 jam dengan harga murah dan service nya yang sangat baik, kami berdua sangat puas. Rela capek PP Gresik-Surabaya selama 1,5 jam buat ke sini aja, rasanya terbayar sudah.

Tempat parkirnya luas. Parkir sepeda motor Rp3.000,- dan untuk parkir mobil kami tidak tahu.

Basically the service inside is fair enough. So peacefully quiet, and the music they played kinda TOO loud, that it'll make you have to shout if you wanna talk something to your friend/family/whoever sitting in front of you.

The building is also not friendly enough for visitors who may bring wheelchairs for their loved ones. Visitors must climb the stairs from the parking lot to the entrance.

Besides, the parking lot itself kinda half-full already, though it seems that we were the first customer of the day.

Some small plates are still oily when we picked them up, while the glasses seem to be broken a bit, cuz what I picked seems to be leaked...
