Loving Hut Surabaya — Restaurant in Surabaya

Typical chinese restaurant, cozy group gathering kinda vibe, very good location, its not a fancy type of restaurant but well the food is relatively cheap and great! So i’m not complaining

Fav dishes of mine, have been years going to this place to eat & try their food: soto with lontong prajna tofu seven seas rice set everyoung geprek / sambal ijo cheerful fried noodle mie ayam jamur noodle dumpling noodle capcay rice set kangkung hotplate xo green bean satay fried mushroom asparagus soup All the hotplates are soo goodd Need to try their sambal terasi

However there’s always room for improvement. The restaurant need to fix their management, repair / repaint some of their work area, sometimes it’s difficult to call the waiters as they’re not paying attention to their customers, the consistency of the food quality itself is poor. Sometimes its good sometimes something’s off with the dish. Cleanliness, atitude & service from the staff need to be fix.

Urgent need to work on those problems. Overall I’m a loyal customer here so i really hope this restaurant can improve fix those problems and keep operating 🤍🤍🙏 Great place to invite friends, fam / big group...

The perfect place for vegetarians. The food is healthy, vegan with big sufficient portions. The menu is expansive with plentiful options in mock meat made out of soya and very well priced. Surabaya being a non touristy destination, the staff doesn't speak much English which causes a little bit of communication problems. But it as a quiet place with great food. We ordered The asparagus soup - huge bowl serving up to 4 people, homely with authentic Chinese ingredients and fresh produce. Tom yum soup - Huge bowl serving up to 4 people, spicy yet delicious. Waldorf Salad - soya mayonnaise, lots of nuts, raisins and fresh ingredients, extremely tasty and well portioned. Silken Tofu sizzling pan - one of the softest tofus ever, just melts in the mouth. Crispy fried mushroom- varied mushrooms deep fried with a tangy sauce. A definite must try. I ate here today for brunch with some other meat eaters and they were just as surprised as I was of how good the food is! Love it here! The service was spectacular. I ordered the cheerful burger and it tastes amazingggg. One thing I would like for it to change is the size of the patty - It was about 1cm off from the diameter of the bread bun. So whenever I try to take a bite, my teeth just kept pushing the patty off and I ended up eating most of the bun from each bite, instead of eating it in an equal manner. But no complaints on the taste as it was as amazing as it is. I also ordered the vegan egg which was spectacular - I saw that they sell the frozen version too which I was equally tempted to buy but I don't think I am allowed to bring frozen goods back to my country.
