Review for Kimukatsu Restaurant – Visit on May 29, 12–2 PM
I visited Kimukatsu again after 5 months, and I must say the food has improved — great job to the kitchen team!
However, I felt quite uncomfortable with the service during this visit. One of the servers (a woman in black trousers, white top, black blazer, hijab, and glasses) was clearly upset with me and my friend. We had moved from a small table to a bigger one because the space was too tight and uncomfortable, especially with other guests seated closely.
I understand it may have looked like we were being impatient, but in reality, the staff took a while to clean the table, and there was only one group (3 people) waiting in the queue, who were also seated at a big table shortly after. What disappointed me was how the server addressed us — the tone of her voice, choice of words, and facial expressions all showed annoyance. It felt unprofessional and made the dining experience unpleasant.
I understand that anyone can have a rough day, but I really hope all staff can remain courteous and professional to maintain the great impression Kimukatsu is building...
Read moreWell, you need to improve the services quality. I need to wait over 30min, around 40 i guess. I don't care if i need to wait if the restaurant was busy, but the one and only customer you need to feed is only me and my bf. My order is simple, just original chicken katsu set and chicken katsu curry. The other order is crispy chicken skin (forget the japanese name) but they serving the chicken skin with 5-8 minutes so i didnt got problem with it. But they need 40min to get the other one done? I love japanase food because i never get disappointed about the taste and absolutely the services, but what i got there (Kimukatsu) make me doesnt want to go there anymore. Ps: i was so starving so i crawl to Kimukatsu, but i need to waiting long til my metabolism system make me not starving again cause they was using my fat to covering the food i ordering which...

It is not 25 layers as advertised and the sauce is not a katsu sauce. The sauce is more like chinese sweet and sour sauce with rather than a katsu sauce. The sauce is too sweet and it is not that good even with spicy mayo. I bought cheese, blackpepper (BP), and egg katsu. The cheese is better but not satisfying. Too much blackpepper is used. The egg taste better than the katsu. Appearance wise, I am not sure with others but mine was pale and it is not appetising. The miso soup is much better than the katsu here and the ocha is pretty nice to drink. However, the store sells katsu as the main dish, not miso soup and the ocha, and it does not...
