I'm sorry that I gave this review, this is me and my family first impression about this restaurant.
First, their menu is only texts, no images to show how the food looks like and the food description is all english, so we had to ask the waiter/waitress.
We ordered a sushi, tempura, beef sukiyaki, omurice, and kamameshi. To be honest the food taste is okay, sukiyaki was too sweet, the fried rice inside the omurice was so small (the egg only makes it look big).
And then the kamameshi, it took almost 40 minutes to wait. We were sitting in the counter which is in front of the chefs kitchen, and we only complaints to waiter/waitress when the food would be ready. But suddenly one of the chef in front of us yelled and said "Didn't anyone tell you that kamameshi takes a long time to cook!? and we cook it with machine!" directly to us.
Here's the thing, we were sitting in front of this chefs and we saw them cooking. We clearly saw that they cook it on the stove, not machine. The waiter/waitress didn't tell us as well that it will take longer time to cook. What makes us more annoyed, the person who sits behind us on sofa, got their kamameshi 10 minutes after us.
Also a little complaint to all waiter/waitress, I saw all of you prioritize customers who had reservation first, while I just came in without reservation.
I'm sorry again but this is what me and my family experienced, I hope this never happened...
Read moreI consider this place as a fine dining resto, I love their japanese food, the space between customer is spacious, good looking interior, cool temperature, and good display of sake all around the entrance room. The service and staff was friendly, and explained well about the dish that we were curious about, let say that i was trying to order some salmon, they would give amazing recomendation. Now the food, it was really tasty but pricy,
Chicken sets menu= The chicken was really tasty, salty and sweat in the same time, really savory.really tender.
Then i ordered some noodles like kind of an okonomiyaki food, it was really savory, tasty, and ideal portion. Kamemeshi Now the bowl in a salmon and ikuro roe. That food was really delicious with an ideal amount of salmon, seasoning, and stripped egg. I like the concept where it is in a kind of bowl, it looks really fancy.
Overall all the food wass savory, ideal portion, tender, and rich in flavour and ingridients. So next time any of you come here, i recomend the chicken set or...
Read moreThis restaurant had a really nice decor inside out. They don't serve your typical "localized" japanese sushi rolls (they do have some), but they serve mainly sashimis and sushis.
This is a high end place with refreshing but pricey drinks (iced tea and mocktail like drinks) and salads. Chicken teriyaki rice was extremely salty... so was the Dobinmushi...
Fried salmon skin was refreshing, the sauce was tangy. Their yakitoris (skewers) like momo and tsukune was good, however if they could just use the meat instead of mixing it with the cartilage, it will be more tasty.
Also, they should retrain their servers to make sure they know what are they selling, which menu contains what, types of dressings they serve etc. Our server had to ask his colleague, who in turn asked another colleague about the dish (3rd...
