How could I just visiting the restaurant, after several years in Surabaya. As tahu tek tek lovers, the restaurant is a must visit restaurant. Though a bit pricey compared to kaki lima version, its really recommend for you to try. The terasi of peanut sauce was not overwhelming, it just okay. I myself always order double fried egg. 🤤. The only thing that overwhelmed was the cracker or kerupuk they gave, too generous. Better you ask the kerupuk to be in separated plate. The restaurant was bit small, but still adequate. They only provide mineral water and tea bottle as drink, so you could not order another drink. The service was fast, enjoy the tek-tek sound when they cut the tahu from its scissor. Well, better to prepare cash since I was not sure you could pay by QRIS or by other electronic payment or not. The location was in Darmahusada area, easy to access from Surabaya Pusat or Surabaya Timur. The parking lot was a little bit limited, so if you bring a car, maybe you will ended parking at the roadside.

The best tahu telor in town! Most of time the place always crowded, usually I ordered through Grab, but like most of the dishes which it always better when we eat it hot directly from the kitchen so once a while you should try eating in here, when it come the plate fully cover with crackers so make difficult to eat, TIPS: when place the order to asked them to separate the crackers in different plate, You should tell them how much chilies you want, TIPS: if you not like spicy then better to tell them to add only 1 or max 2 chilies, In 1 portion contain fried eggs, tofu, potatoes, and rice cake, TIPS: to order "2 telor pakai tahu dan kentang, tidak pakai lontong" The taste of the sauce was so rich and tasteful, I believe the key is they used a good quality of shrimp paste

When their price tag was about Rp10.000,- per portion. They used to be my favorite place to hangout and dine in. It's been several years since the last time I visited this place. I just got here tonight to have a dinner and found out the taste wasn't like what I used to remember before. Now their price tag has adjusted to Rp15.000,- per portion. Okay, here are my recent reviews for the meal. The peanut paste was kinda weak in taste and a bit bland. Their beaten egg also pretty plain and tasteless. They're already prepared a pre cooked food / ready to serve for dine in customer, so their friend tofu wasn't that appetizing. What I used to remember, they always made a freshly cooked menu and freshly made peanut sauce. So no wonder if the order queue got so long and the waiting time was around 30-50 minutes / person. At the time I felt it was worth the wait. And they always prioritize those whom want to second order their meal. And now sadly, it wasn't like what I've had remembered. TASTE - ⭐⭐⭐ SERVICE - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ To Pak Jayen, "Thanks for the good time we have had, Pak. I really missed your freshly made meals. Thanks"

The legendary Tahu Telor in Surabaya.. I guess because I've been a loyal fan of Tahu Telor Pak Jayen for decades. The texture and aroma of Tahu Telor Pak Jayen is just different from others, the authenticity is there. It's flavorful and delicious too. They are known to be generous with their kerupuk and thanks to the kerupuk, it adds extra flavor that makes it extra Yummy. Economically priced food and it's a must to try this Tahu Telor if you are a fan of Tofu, potato🥔 and eggs .

Tahu telor yang sangat mantap dan harga masih relatif terjangkau untuk di daerah Surabaya yang bertempat di ruko serta diapit perumahan elit, dulu sebelum masuk ruko tahu telor ini berada di area cuci mobil tidak jauh dari tempat sekarang dengan harga per porsi standard 15 Rb, namun setelah pindah di ruko naik 1Rb menjadi 16 Rb. Jika tambah telur atau telurnya double anda perlu nambah uang sebesar 5 Rb. Pelayanannya sangat cepat, tidak perlu menunggu lama sekitar 5-10 menit anda sudah dapat menikmati tahu telur. Untuk rasa enak, tahunya bukan tahu murah yang memiliki bau kecing, tahu nya enak lembut dan tak berbau, untuk telur bau nya sangat enak ketika digoreng serta rasanya cukup enak dan garing sehingga memiliki sensasi tersendiri, kecambah nya pakai cambah pendek dan tidak pelit cambah. Untuk bumbu kacang nya kacangnya tidak tergerus secara halus sehingga masih terdapat tekstur kasar dari kacangnya, petis yang dipakai pun bukan petis yang memiliki rasa strong jadi petis nya tidak terlalu dominan, untuk anda yang tidak terlalu suka petis mungkin bumbu ini cocok, untuk bumbu kacang secara keseluruhan enak dengan perpaduan manis, gurih, asin, dan legit. Saya merekomendasikan tempat ini bagi anda pecinta masakan khas Jawa Timur.

If you look for tahu telor, not the fancy cafe or atmosphere, this is the right place. They only have one menu, tahu telor, what you can adjust is the spicy level only. The food is so simple, fried tofu and egg with peanut sauce, beansprout and cracker on the top. Many people just do takeaways, but the place still crowded especially on the weekend. Definitely my place to go for tahu telor.
