Terrible service. I walked in and three employees were sitting down in front of the reguster looking at me. I made a hand movement indicating I needed a table.
Finally one came over and showed me to a table. I thought he was a manager because he had a buttoned down shirt.
I asked via a translation app if he could call me a taxi after my meal.
I'm a tourist and although I'm exempt from registering my phone it stopped working after a few days.
Therefore, my phone doesn't have data in Indonesia while off wifi.
He said that the restaurant did not have wifi. That he could not call me a taxi because he doesn't have the tax'si number. I asked him to look it up. He refused to help although he knew I was stranded and it was raining.
I ate a very average meal of oxtail and spinach. It wasn't great and it wasn't terrible. Most items I wanted were sold out. The oxtail had more fat than meat.
I had to ask for the check because employees again were just standing around.
After eating I walked to a nearby restaurant and the amazibg staff there allowed me to use their wifi so I could get a Grab back to my hotel. I did not spend any money the other restaurant and they eagerly helped me. In contrast, Warung Leko refused to offer any assistance.
No compassion or human decency was extended. You would have thought I was asking one of them to drive me to the hotel themselves or even pay...

Read more🍴 The sambelan menu is a must-try.
🥩 The grilled ribs and smashed ribs are really impressive. And don't forget the Tahu Pyur appetizer, it's light on the tongue and tasty in the throat.
🍜 We can request the broth sauce as much as we want and it's free of charge. Perfect for enjoying with the Iga Penyet dish.
🌶️ The sambal sauce can be requested to be not spicy, spicy, very spicy, or super spicy. As a spice lover, the spicy level is enough for me.
🚭 Smoking is not allowed inside the dining area, and it's fully air-conditioned.
🅿️ There's a parking attendant and the rate is normal for Surabaya area.
🚽 The toilet is nice and the hand washing area is also comfortable.
💺 The seats and tables are always clean and dry, and there's no unpleasant odor at all.
❄️ The room is always cool but not too cold that it makes the skin dry, the temperature is just right.
⏰ If you come during the peak lunch hour, be prepared for a full house and the room might not be as cool, so you might sweat a bit.
🙏 Thank you to the owner and staff for the excellent service and maintaining the cleanliness and comfort...
