Easy Warung – Big Flavour, Affordable Prices, and Beachfront Bliss

Easy Warung on Gili Meno might just be the definition of island perfection — chilled vibes, unbeatable prices, and food so good we almost licked the plates (don’t worry, we kept it classy…ish).

We went for dinner and it did not disappoint. The fried shrimp starter? Unreal. So fresh, we half expected them to swim off the plate. We sat just steps from the ocean, with waves lapping the shore and Bintangs in hand — it really doesn’t get more “holiday mode” than that.

For mains, the chicken curry was bursting with flavour, and the Pepes Ikan (fresh fish cooked in banana leaf) was so tasty it left us speechless — which, if you know us, is saying something.

It’s a small, local spot with lovely, friendly service, and we loved supporting somewhere that isn’t part of the usual hotel circuit. The bill for all that? Just 230k IDR. Absolute bargain. We spent more on sunscreen that didn’t even work.

Pro tip: get there early — it’s always busy, and for good reason. We just missed happy hour (3–6pm, buy one get one free cocktails) and are still emotionally recovering from that mistake.

Highly recommend. Go for the food, stay for the views, and don’t forget to set an alarm for happy hour.

After seeing the comments, I biked 15 min to go to this restaurant tonight but there was an electricity cut in all the Island. When I arrived, the waiter even didn’t look at me.

When I asked if it was okay to pay by card because I didn’t have cash anymore, he replied without any glance at me « no cash, atm at the harbour », I said that in the black without lights impossible to go there (at the opposite) so I thanked him and say goodbye, no answer.

Never had such a bad welcoming for 10 days now in Indonesia. I found a wonderful warung few meters after who welcomed me with a big smile and where I enjoyed my grilled fish.

Don’t recommend...

This place is incredible. The food is 10/10, the staff are some of the best, most friendly and most caring helpful people we have met. They arranged our snorkelling trip at one for the best rates on the island, we saw 15 turtles and everything else on offer. We used their laundry service and it was awesome, they ade some of the best food we have had in Indo. We even went fishing and they helped us to clean the fish, bbq them and they charged us almost nothing even though it wasn't even their food. 20/10 would recommend.
