Bagno Di Gili | Exclusive 5-Star Beach Club Gili Meno — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

We walked passed here and noticed they have a "turtle retreat" in this otherwise fancy looking place on the beach. It's a little pool where they put baby turtles. We were shocked to see that two of the turtles were dead. One of them had started to rot! The pool was very small with no circulation of the water. The water must have been 40 degrees on this hot day! No wonder they are dying. As a veterinarian this is deeply concerning for me. Turtles need constant supply of fresh water to simulate the sea conditions. I said this to the staff. They said that they knew that two turtles were dead! But obviously they have not done anything about it... Dead, rotten turtles will cause the other ones to die also. The guy we talked to did not seem to care, although he did remove the dead ones. He did not know what they eat, or how often. They are supposed to eat every two hours in the daytime. These turtles seem to be used as a draw for tourists, to release then into the sea. What is the point of this, after being captive and tortured? This is exploitation of animals. It's not a "turtle retreat", they are in captivity to please tourists, and if they're lucky, they survive in time to be released. Horrible, and please do not support if you are an...

We are still blown away by the luxurious Lombok Lodge accommodation, delicious food, spa, and amenities. Their royal breakfast with homemade pastries, fresh juices, and healthy smoothies, the delicious lunches in their restaurant L’Osteria and the excellent wining and dining in their restaurant Flavors by Chef Jiwa stay important highlights. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner is unique and memorable.

On top of that, they have expanded their Hospitality. They added ‘Lombok Lodge Private Villas and ‘Bagno di Gili’ on Gili Meno to their services. Important to realise, also here the atmosphere is luxurious, trendy, intimate, and spectacular. Thank you to the wonderful staff that goes above and beyond every moment.

We also enjoyed a perfect day at the Lombok Lodge beach “Bagno di Gili” on Gili Meno, which offered beautiful and clean beaches. On top of that, a stunning snorkel place to see (almost touch) the huge sea turtles. A must-do experience.
