Coming here always feels like home. Every bungalow is different, so ask them if you can look at more than one when you are staying here the first time. Some people like more fancy bathrooms, some like a desk or a bench or a couch or wardrobe, just find the one that works for you. I found my favorite and I could stay here forever. I wake up each morning and walk a few steps out to the ocean. I watch the sea turtles surface while I eat fresh delicious fruit and drink ginger tea or watermelon juice. I have sweet little kitties that come up to my porch for food and exchange loving pets. I love the staff here, they go out of their way to make sure you are happy. They are always looking out for me as a solo traveler as well, and concerned for me like family. I love the energy and the peacefulness here- and that in a few steps I can be swimming in turquoise water. Come visit and find your paradise...

The place is falling apart, literally. It must have been a nice place back in the day, but time passed and they haven't done any maintenance at all. It's cheap, true. But at least a normal sink in the bathroom and an old mirror above it would be expected. By the way, sink was a broken old hair-salon sink, and the staff, however nice and helpfull, couldn’t be bothered with taking out the trash during all four days of our stay. If you're on a budget, go for it. But if you can afford a few bucks more, go for something else. It'll make your Gili Air experience...
