Just to clarify, having seen the response from the owner, that the card fees/QRIS fees were added to the bill even though it was a local bank. These were not fees from the bank. I have lived in Jakarta for several years and am well used to QRIS, bank transfers and debit cards. I would also like to reiterate that the food was raw. i have never used the word raw for lasagna before but it was raw as in uncooked. I am sure it had been in an oven but it was not long enough for the lasaga to cook. Sorry, but that is the truth. I was very kind and polite when I asked for the food to be cooked but was treated, as i have in this response, as if I am stupid. I am neither studpied nor inexpereinced at cooking or eating lasagna. Here is my original post: We bought 2 pizzas which were ok but the vegetable lasagna was dire. It was literally raw. I was suspicious when it arrived within a few minutes. It looked fine but was stone cold inside. It had seen some heat. I suspect that the lasagna sheets had been warmed and then layered with precooked veggies. I asked for it to be heated up and thought it might at least get pinged in a microwave (fair enough they said they didn't have one) or meet with some heat source but I got a new lasagna in exactly the same condition as the last one. The lasagna seemed to be just like my own but before it goes in an oven. I ate a few mouthfuls but despite being hungry after surfing, could not eat raw lasagna. No offer of a refund and to add insult they wanted 3% for using a local Indonesian debit...

Listen, when you've been trying pizzas all across Southeast Asia, you know when you've found something special. PRONTO isn't just good - it's exactly what pizza should be.
The crust has that perfect char, thin and crispy with just the right amount of chew. Rumor has it they use a little bit of honey in the dough. I tried multiple pies (for thorough research purposes, of course). Watched them make each one in their woodfired oven, timing the cooks perfectly. The staff probably wondered why I was taking so many photos, but this kind of quality needs to be documented.
Perfect crispy base, proper Italian ingredients (tried to get their supplier list but Sarah pulled me away). Even their takeaway boxes keep everything hot and crispy on the walk home.
Pro tip: Order sambal on the side for dipping. Been testing this across multiple visits and it's absolutely worth it.
P.S. Sarah says I need to stop taking close-up photos of pizza cross-sections, but future customers need to know...
ย ย ย Read moreWe are Italians and we know a thing or two about pizza and pasta. During our two-week stay in Selong Belanak we had pizza from PRONTO several times and it is very good. The dough is not too salty or heavy, the pizzas are well cooked and leavened. The toppings are great and the mozzarella is similar to real Italian mozzarella. They have an electric oven and not a wood-fired one so it may not be the typical Italian pizza but it is really good! As for the fresh pasta is well made even if a little bit thick and with the toppings a bit heavy, but we Italians are very fancy with the tastes no worries it's very good :)
All in all, however, bravo, promoted...
