Me and my girlfriend had a great day today visiting the benang stokel waterfall and touring the island, since she had such a nice day she agreed to settle on my preference for dinner - Pizza! Googling best pizza places in Kuta (where we are staying) I found Sapori Italian, and from the outside it looked great so we gave it the go ahead.
Usually we find the best in a bad situation and don’t have the guts to ever complain, you know... we like to be optimistic, after finding out they do literally no drinks except a small selection of juice and coffees, I decided to go for a hot latte which came half full and barely even room temperature, when I nicely asked for a new one, the chap disappeared and I never got another (like I said I’m not one to complain so I just decided i would take it off the bill at the end). We also didn’t receive the water we ordered so I basically didn’t have a drink during the meal. When our food arrived I was a little disappointed with the pizza, I order margaritas in every pizza place because I basically just love it nice and simple, despite it being stone baked it really wasn’t that great, it was just kind of boring to eat and I essentially just ate it so I could fuel my body.
I understand I’m in Indonesia and maybe it’s my bad for expecting an incredible Italian but compared to some of the other places I’ve been to I was really disappointed and just a little sad, the staff clearly do work quite hard as I could see one of our servers smiling through her sweat, but considering it’s one of the slightly pricier places to dine, I just hoped it would...

About 3 hours later had extremely bad food poisoning. Up literally all night long on the toilet. It's 24 hours later and i still haven't recovered.
Upon reflection realised that the cooks probably didn't cook the Bolognese properly. 5 minutes from ordering to arriving means they probably cooked it for maximum 3 minutes and the meat wasn't cooked all the way through.
I understand they're trying to be fast for the customers when it's so busy, but they need to be careful that they're not poisoning their customers in pursuit of fast service.
Oh, was also expensive, so paid alot and got some food poisoning thrown in for good measure.
In response to the owner, I blame your food because I had nothing else since breakfast, ate your food, which if in fact it was cooked properly just means it was prepared unhygienicly.
And this guy clearly couldn't give a damn about his customers well being from his comment. It wasn't one night on the toilet there buddy, it was 2 days thanks to your terrible food.
If anyone needs any more reason to avoid this horrible place, there it is from the owners own...

The menu offers a variety of authentic Italian dishes, from delicious pasta dishes to crispy pizza. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and seasoned with the perfect spices. The portions are generous and the taste is simply incredible.
I particularly recommend the homemade pasta, which is cooked al dente. The pizza is also a delight, with a crispy base and a variety of toppings to choose from. They even serve burrata pizza!!!
The dessert selection with a variety of tempting options such as tiramisu and especially pistachio ice cream is also recommended.
Overall, the Italian restaurant Sapori in Indonesia is an absolute must for anyone who loves Italian cuisine. It is the perfect place to spend a cozy evening with friends or a romantic evening. The quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere make this restaurant a true dining...
