Famouri House (Cafe, Restaurant, Art House), a fantastic historical building in the heart of Tehran, located in Geshtaseb Alley right off of Jomhoori Ave., adjacent to Rome Street. It is an oasis in middle of the busy business district. The beautifully done renovation of a historical building, an open yard seating with traditional water fountains, fruit trees and gorgeous flowers in the garden. The staff were friendly, professional and very clean. The management were actively engaged in the operation and they were very helpful and inviting. There is special menu and hours of operation for the month of Ramadan, make sure you call for reservations. Variety of hot and cold drinks, and great traditional entrees. A historical mansion erected during the Qajar dynasty and restored a few years ago to be converted into a cafe. The traditional Iranian architecture, especially in the garden, has made this place a calm and cozy spot in the middle of one of the most crowded neighborhoods in Tehran. If you travel to Jomhouri street to visit Charsou Mall or Alladin Market, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make a stop here to have a drink or lunch. Their menu includes many traditional drinks and Iranian dishes.
