Life is best viewed through Rose colored glasses. This is the conclusion you will reach when finally seated at one of the nine or ten tables in the very cozy (and busy) Gol-e Rezaieh. As you scan the walls of the restaurant which is covered with hundreds of rare photographs and interesting collages of seemingly unrelated items, you realize there is something for every generation there. Mine was a picture of The Rolling Stones near the bathroom taken during the “Tattoo You” tour in 1982. Of course Gol-e Rezaieh did not become famous for the pictures. Their traditional and semi authentic foods also deserve top billing. On this day I had the Small bowl of borscht soup which was arguably one of the best bourchts I have ever had. Their Ghormesabzi with sour grapes and tomatoes, although not authentic, was absolutely delightful with well cooked pinto beans and a savory mix of herbs that defied the taste buds. I suggest taking public transport to visit Gol-e Rezaieh because the restaurant is located in the traffic restriction zone. The are not open for dinner so wakeup early for their breakfast or see if you can make...
Read moreI had heard a lot about this place and how amazing it was, and few months ago I finally made it to go there, but with my experience I will never go there again! The food quality is just average. The service is terrible! We ordered a mohito and it was relatively expensive, we asked about the ingredients of it and the waiter made sure that it's freshly made from lime, but we were served ZamZam's bottle mohito or whatever that tasted like that! The waiter was kind of rude! The place is so busy you have to reserve or wait a lot and when you make it to get a table there's this terrible time limitation for the table, the moment that waiter brought the meal we were told that we have limited time, it wasn't enjoyable to eat food with haste. This place is kind of historical and has a nice atmosphere for seeing but nothing good with...
Read moreWith all respect to history of this place, completely disappointed and dissatisfied. Wierd menu ( you can't guess which type of chief they have!!) Surprisingly very very overpriced for no particular reason , we tried kotlet ( Russian !!!) Which reminded me back in time when we hated food in University. The other one, schnitzel tastes like Kentucky chicken but again tastes . They dumped tones of creamy mushroom sauce on both plates. Not recommended and the only star is for music. Again this place is really really overpriced and low quality. Be aware of that. Don't let social...
