Dan Lowrey's Tavern — Restaurant in Cork

I visited on a friday afternoon for a quick pint as I had time to kill. Nice bar lady and I like the look of the pub. I asked for a pint of Murphys and eventually it was brought down to the table and Im glad I was sitting down when I was asked to pay 6.70e for a pint of Murphys :( Jesus that is close to Temple bar prices I honestly was shocked! A nice bar but crazy prices for an average enough pint. I wont be returning unfortunately..... It felt like unhappy hour prices compared to happy...

Great little pub on Macurtain St. Note: it is rather small and I’ve seen it overflowing on certain days. Just popped in for an impromptu evening pint on a weekday and there was ample seating available at the bar and tables. I didn’t actually know that they served food, but I see some pics in the reviews. The pint was great. I am living locally a frequent visitor, always had a positive experience until last night. It was my birthday and I brought 3 friends with me and one female staff member was extremely rude and I was treated very badly on two occasions because I was standing at the end of the bar while I ordered my round. It’s a shame that a member of staff can treat a regular customer in that way. I will be taking my business elsewhere on McCurtain...
