Mother Jones Flea Market — Attraction in Cork

The is a second hand shop/flee market on a by-lane called York Street near the end of McCurtain street on the glanmire side. There is a lot of old stuff in there and undoubtedly unwanted stuff. Books – many of them with tanned pages – clothes – jackets with some surprisingly in very good condition – antiques – and odds and ends. You might get a bargain, but there is a lot of junk as well and some of it is brazenly priced. Some items have no price at all and it is wise to ask before you commit to buying it. Tell staff that there is no price on the item, instead of just thinking that it's going to be cheap because it is second hand. You might be in for a shock. However, nice quaint place overall with some character. I think they serve some refreshments as well, but check prices...

Great place with very helpful people working there. If you take some consideration into account regarding taking pictures, which is only normal to ask permission, you'll get great help and I even got a recommendation for another place since I looked for something specific they did not have. Found a few treasures here, if you are willing to put in the search, you'll definitely find some things that are not easy to be found anywhere else. Got myself a beautiful set of 90's art deco Miami Style vases, and a green shaded office lamp that was once popular at banks. But pricy maybe but definitely...

This is a really cool antique shop located in Cork City. It has many items to look at. From collectors items to genuine actual home decoration. I would highly recommend a visit to this store if you like old fashioned items and/or antique products. The staff are very nice and very helpful. I bought old Irish notes here where I could not find anywhere else in the city. This is ideal for coin collectors. They also have vintage clothing, music and everything really.
