The is a second hand shop/flee market on a by-lane called York Street near the end of McCurtain street on the glanmire side. There is a lot of old stuff in there and undoubtedly unwanted stuff. Books – many of them with tanned pages – clothes – jackets with some surprisingly in very good condition – antiques – and odds and ends. You might get a bargain, but there is a lot of junk as well and some of it is brazenly priced. Some items have no price at all and it is wise to ask before you commit to buying it. Tell staff that there is no price on the item, instead of just thinking that it's going to be cheap because it is second hand. You might be in for a shock. I would highly recommend a visit to this store if you like old fashioned items and/or antique products. The staff are very nice and very helpful.
