Wylam Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cork

Fantastic service always upon going here. I'm not one for writing reviews nor have i ever written one but I have to give this place a very special mention ,the food is fantastic with a wide variety of options and the girls inside always have the warmest of welcomes and always have a smile and will always check that everything is OK and your been catered for etc . I Would highly recommend the wylam if your looking to go somewhere for a evening meal or just looking for a good quality Chinese slightly outside the city centre . They are also very generous with their portions with whatever you order and you certainly wont go hungry . I for one now often frequent the wylam when i'm just looking to wind down after a long weeks work and I've failed to ever be disappointed . Easy to know they're in business in Cork for so long ,nearly 40 plus years I believe as I know my dad went here as a student many years back . 5 stars from me Wylam ...

I googled this restaurant & ordered through the online app. It stated I would get an email to confirm. Never got an email so rang premises. Was told they did not receive my order, despite the money being taken from the bank. Called to the premises & was told I used the wrong app, the one I used was an old one, I should use the one on the menu. Number one, how would I know that, number two, why is that app still available when you google this Chinese. The lady was very unhelpful , told me the money should go back into my account with in a few days.....well it's a week later & no the money has not came back into my account. What if it was a family ordering a big order. Absolutely ridiculous that you can even access this app, that the Chinese themselves haven't had it taken down & that you're just told, wrong app, nothing I can do U didn't get your order. I would not...

I just ordered from this business and when I got home, half of the meal I ordered was missing. When I called them to speak to them, the woman on the phone (who also took my order) tried to tell me that the meal I alleged to have ordered doesn’t even exist in their menu. Even when I said I am looking at it right now, she still insists that it’s not on their menu. I offered to email it to her and she claimed that they don’t have an email address, so I am attaching it here to this review. Wylam, now can you see what I am referring to? Or will you keep insisting it doesn’t exist rather than just professionally dealing with the issue of an order discrepancy and providing decent customer service?
