Tung Sing Chinese, Blarney — Restaurant in Cork

My review regards customer service rather than the food. I have been a regular customer for years and cannot complain about the food. Anyway I went to the Blarney restaurant on Friday July 27th and while there I thought of my Mother who used to go to the Patrick St. restaurant every Wednesday night for years with her life long friend for a meal. To cut a long story short my Mother due to ill health can no longer go out. I thought I'd get her some Chinese and bring it home to her. I knew she'd be after her tea so I went and asked could I get 2 chicken balls a few chips and a spoon of curry sauce over it. I was told no that the best they could do was to give me a child's portion which had 4 chicken balls and a bag of chips for 5 euro. I said fine I'd take that even though I knew it would be wasted. The waiter then approached me and said that the curry was not included and that would be €2.30 extra. I asked could they just put a spoon over it and he said no I would have to buy a carton.I said fine. I paid and left and brought the food to my Mother who was delighted. My point is that she was a regular customer for so many years I'm talking 20 years plus and what would it of hurt to put the lot in one carton. We didn’t get a chance to eat as we decided it was best we left because of the service we received. Came here for my husband birthday meal as we have many times before . When our server eventually came over we politely asked about gluten free options like we have many times in the past. She rolled her eyes said something we couldn’t hear and she walked away . At this stage my husband and children were a little confused but because we always come here we said we would wait . She came back with an awful attitude and murmured that they only had wings from what we could hear . Absolute disgrace service from manager. As we are very regular costumers for delivery, collection and indoor dining we have recently tried to get a delivery due to our car being out of action and not living walking distance from the restaurant. We were refused delivery after many times receiving delivery before . We were also charged extra for delivery which is perfect but also offered more money to get food delivered after being turned down as we regularly get tung sing as a family . The manager was highly sarcastic apologising ! As much as we have gotten tung sing plenty of times there ignorance recently to REGULAR COSTOMERS is dreadful ! Would not recommend...
